every rig in our group is running 37's and fully built, except for james and mike wilms buddy, both in jeeps on 35's.  but they are fully build also.  i don't think we will have any issues.  might just take some time being we have 3 people going that have never ran the trail at all.  it will be fun.  i'm really looking forward to it.  i just don't want to be at the back at the group.

JEEPS?  THEN YOU'LL BE ON THE TRAIL ALL DAY AND NIGHT.  THEY DON'T WHEEL VERY WELL WHICH IS WHY I BOUGHT TOYOTA'S.

First two things on my MCR list are done.
One, get a tow rig :)
Two, fix engine sputter. I sent the injectors to WhitchHunter. Pulled the upper intake off and cleaned everything with carb clean and a bottle brush. Put it all back togther and it finally has a solid idle again :) !

Rest of my list is,
Move into more affordable housing :)
Find a trailer
Two more rock lights on the front
Torque everything
Put half doors back on
New shocks for rear
New radio
Pack and load
Food, gas, money ;)

i'de say less than that.  i'm guessing it will cost me around $400 to get there and back(from bakersfield).  your a bit further, but i'm not sure how that pans out with the cost of deisel.  what kind of mileage you get in the f250 chris?

17mpg with or without a trailer?  i'm getting around 16-17 freeway in mine, but it drops to 12 with a trailer and my rig.  the trail head at loon side is 382 miles on the dot from my driveway in bakersfield.

OUCH! But I bet it will out pull ALL our rigs

Today I hope to begin torquing stuff and possibly make a new radio bezel.

Quick fix on the trail at night. Survived the highway  :gap:

LOL Jerome   Get rid of those nuts that came with the shackles and put on nylon lock nuts.  You will never have to do that again.

I have a fastenal bout 4 miles away and they do have them.
Putting a cotter pin in isnt a bad idea either.

Tallchevy

The nylocks on my 4Runner back off. Use a crimp nut or add a drop of loctite.

So I can't find nylock nuts at my local hardware store, I'm going to drill what I have and cotter pin them. Any ideas on placement? For easy, I'd drill in the middle of the nut but that doesn't leave much adjustment. I could notch the top of the nut so I can at least back off or tighten the nut half a turn.

I thought that might happen. The locktite wouldn't be practical for me. Everything is too greasy and I'm not good with keeping it clean 3(

fordh8r

Don't drill the nut. That would require exact placement for installing the cotter pin. Just drill above the nut on the bolt only. That will still stop the nut from backing off once it contacts the cotter pin. You could even use a spring pin through the hole if you wanted to. :gap:
