Front of box and around motor mounts is what he told me a bit ago. I just got home from work and am spending the rest of the afternoon looking my truck over

Same place mine was. The more I looked the more I found. Was talking to Yotaman and they run a horizontal tube from inside frame rail to inside frame rail, right under the motor. Think I will be doing that soon.

So far, its cracked just behind the front driver-side hanger (prior picture) and in the center of the driver-side arch over the axle; the rear weld from the factory bumpstop pad had an undercut, this is where the weld started.

I like the idea of a horizontal tube. Maybe in front of the engine or just under the crank pulley.

They had them right under the pulley.

Nice. I'm going to look at doing that.

So what do you guys think... Exo or Internal Cage?

I have been all over the place with this topic. Internal is preferred but exos are so freekin handy and nice. I really cannot decide but I need something.

I know the feeling. I have an old bolt-in, I think All-Pro, cage. It's something, but I'd really like a real cage. I think exo's if done right can look good and do their job well. At the same time I love the look of an internal cage, but if you screw up bad the body can be toast. It just comes down to personal preference imo

jrock

I like the internal because they are lighter, don't widen the vehicle, they give good spots to attach harnesses, don't change the look of a vehicle.... Cheap.

I like exos because they are better protection for the body, look good, give tons of winching and recovery points, add rigidity to the frame.... Expensive and I would prefer to do it myself.

Internal wasn't an option for me because of my tall a$$ in a little truck. But I think an internal adds protection and an external provides protection and durability. Unless you prefer the raisin look which I think is cool also.

i would like to do the internal to keep the look of the truck but the moment you flop there goes the look of the truck.

I can't say I don't like the golf ball look, its just not for this truck yet. Guess I'm going with an exo. Now I just need to buy a bender and a whole lot of tube.

Trying TapaTalk.

Went to the river bar, it's 10 minutes down the street. Water is drying up so stuff was hard to find. We found some mud with really deep ruts. I got pretty stuck. A Cherokee bent its tie rod/thingy, it's a jeep steering. I don't know what they call things.

I also realized that I need bump stops in the rear. Guess I should start on the air bumps up front so I can put the poly bumps in the rear.

86yoter

nice what springs are you running in the rear

jrock

Marlin's 4" with a leaf removed. They are about a 3" spring now, as are the fronts.

jrock

Hollister is dead today. Nice!

I'm not sure where to find info, I could never find any. Pictures, I'll find some more of mine.
