So, I've been thinking about my truck, not in a major or bad way :p Ive got a set of air bumps that I want to put in the front but it's going to take a lot of energy to do that and I still won't have the power to really get what I'm going for. So, what about putting them in the rear with the full 4". I noticed on the McGrew that with two springs pulled out of the rear packs, they sit flat with only basic supplies, no camping gear or wood. What if I put the air bumps in the rear so they soften the hits when wheeling with gear? I dont wheel hard with the gear in the back, I drop it all at camp, and the springs are almost perfect as is. Soft and flexy.

What are some thoughts?

And... PAGE 34 !!!!!!

You don't want your springs going negative, or even bumping if you can help it. The bump shoukd be set up to catch it roght before it gies negative. I would add a leaf back in. Or pull the out and out some 63s back there and be done  :smokin:

No 63s. They would stick 8" out the back. I'm hesitant to add the long leaf back in but it in an option. Oh, and my springs go NEGATIVE. Really negative. It's part of my flex and ride quality :) Not the best choice but it's like this until I go links.

So after looking good and hard at the rear suspension, I can fit a bump can inside the frame and it'll work. But, its not looking to practical for the rear. I talked myself out of it so I'll just add some large poly bumps.

Other than that, my half doors are finally painted the same color as my truck, now I need to do the hood.

It's all the river racing/mud bogging/ore running you've been doing up north huh? Looks like your tube buggy plans will be sooner than later.

I rolled it drifting sideways in mud. It rolled when I hit dry dirt. Passenger side first and ended on the driver side.

So far, cab is toast, all the glass is gone, fenders are in need of clearancing, broke a hydro fitting, rear axle is kicked to the passenger side about 2" but it all works and runs. I might chop off the top and put a super basic roll cage in it for right now until I find and have ready a cab.

I was looking at that. Depending on how clean the cab is, it would look cool. Exo, frame and cab, $500.

superyota

I got a straight rust free cab fit you in bako. It's yours if you want it
