"Oh Yeah," there is something special about this one. It was stock & a basket case when I got it, someone had removed the cylinder head & it was M.I.A. & they took out the complete interior & set it in the back of the 4Runner, dash & cluster, seats & seat belts. Also smell like a animal was living in it. There was animal hair everywhere. Fordh8r & I swapt in a running 22RE, did the SAS  :flamer:, Chevy rears & put back all the interior parts that were there. I can't complain thought, I paid $175 for it!

I didn't think it was going to be this high! It has a Sky front hanger with dog leg shackles with 5.5 Alcan springs & the axle is moved forward 2". The rear is Chevy 63's, a Chevy lowering shackles flipped as lift shackles with a drop down shackles & a 2" block. Also has a 2" body lift. It is a monster with the 33's. I might go 35's but I'm not sure if I want to do that with the stock axles. It's hard to see but if you look at the pic, My 79 GMC Jimmy is parked behind it & it has 6" Superlift springs front & rear & it's on the 32"s that are in the other pic's.

35's and that truck would be pimp.  I would think the stock axles should hold em (at least i hope cause that's what I'm going to run), alot of guys run them and longfield say's that the axles are comparable to the Dana 44 if that's saying anything. :twocents:

Thanks but I don't have any money into it. Most of it is time. I have bought projects for parts that I wanted & sold the rest & made a profit to buy more parts. I'm still money ahead & still have parts to sell.

40's  :smack: not with stock axles. Gotta keep it as a DD{daliy dinged}. Besides, my 83 that I had years ago had 40's. Ring gears wouldn't hold up  :dunno: Anything bigger than a 35 & I would change the axles to 1 ton. lesson learned

I had an 81 that i roasted on with 38.5 sx's. I think the sx's are heavier than the Iroks. It was my daily driver for years.

I had 40x17x15 Gumbo Monster Mudders With a pumped 22R. It was mostly street driven & would still break gears. But with 35's I could get a 3rd gear scratch!

Built the rear shock mounts this weekend  I didn't want to relocate load valve or remove it. I welded 2" tube from the fuel tank x-member to the rear x-member, notched a plate & wedled that to the tube & made the mounts on the axle. It's hard to see but I recycled parts that I cut off to make the axle mounts. They are made from the rear spring front hanger. I just drilled the holes larger to fit the bolts & ground them to match.  :flamer:
