I'm using 63" chevy springs, 3 leaf right now, but I might be going down to 2 leaf.

Begin Project: Square Front Driveshaft

  Cutting off a small piece to trace out the square.

[MiniSimp]

  Don't try to use paint to mark the square, it doesn't work.  Use a thin black marker.
I used a cutting wheel to grind off the edges so it would be flatter

  The small tube will have a weld line raised in the tube, you must file this down. I used 2"x0.25" HREW for the smaller tube.

  Clean the work before you weld

[MiniSimp]

  Tack weld first and make sure it is square

[MiniSimp]

  Weld on!

  Let cool in between welds so you dont fry your spider bearings

Part 2: Double cardan end

Receiver hitch tube is used for the outer shaft, it has no seam. 2.5"x1/4"

Again, cut off a slice of tube to trace your square cut.
