They were fabricated by a friend of mine.
they are made from 3.5"x3.5"x1/4" square tubing and 1/4" flatstock.

Today I half way mounted the 63" Chevy springs. Used tempory shackles until I make up my mind what I want to do. Right now as it sits the shackle is at a 40* angle, as soon as I add any weight to the truck the angle will only get worse. I'll probably make the factory shackle longer, maybe 6" also, and that should take the angle to 50* unloaded. BTW, Marlin's U-Bolt flip kit works perfect with Chevy springs. :turtle:

MiniSimp

Going to have to do something about the E-Brake cable, any ideas? :dunno:

MiniSimp

These springs are extremely long!

MiniSimp

Here you can see the shackle angle, no bed, no spare tire, no weight at all.

MiniSimp

18.25" from the top of the axle to the top of the chassis. Unloaded it is 1.25" higher. Loaded, should be the same as stock!

MiniSimp

Well, with the Chevy's on it gets around 14" of verticle travel, not bad.

MiniSimp

Here is at sitting height

MiniSimp

This is maxed out.

MiniSimp

Score one point for the Toyota, I'll get it back though! :tantrum:

MiniSimp

Tested out the rear flex with the hi-lift. Put my larger tool box on.

MiniSimp

The front tire is about 8" off the ground. Time to build the rears up front packs.

MiniSimp

The tire touching the chassis is limiting my flex. Time for 1.5" spacers in the rear.

MiniSimp

Made a spiffy little bracket to mount the fuel filler hose to the tool box.

MiniSimp

Put my :turtle: sticker on

MiniSimp

Found some tempory ghetto shocks to put on so I can still drive it.

MiniSimp

Put on some removable mud flaps for the police. :stopit:    VC27600

Built my spring pack for my "Rears up front"
They should be nice compared to my currently reversed springs.
Opened up the clamps. Need bushings.

Just ordered Johnny Joint Shackles for the Chevy rear spring shackle. Decided to not go with the double shackle set up, as I want this to be a multi-purpose truck. Should be here by the 11th.
