You should put a drop box on the front of your truck.

Why? All that would do is lift it more. I'm trying to avoid that.

Loose the shims.  Tie rod contact to springs will worsen when turning.
droppnig the front hanger does some important things:

1. improves pinion angle
2. when combined with flatter spring packs,
     A.  yeilds the same or less lift, and
     B.  reduces nose dive when braking.

Loose the shims, it will gain clearance with the tie rod.  I took my shims off my front springs and didn't feel a different.  I would say build a drop hanger too but it isn't needed.  The build-up is going good.  does it feel goo to finally get a bunch of stuff done on the truck?

Feels great! Mainly happy to get tires under it again.

what shakles are those?
Came with the extra chassis I got with the truck, probably skycrapper or procrap.
They were the right length, so I used them.

Tube doors are almost done, just need to come up with a latching system...

0.25, it's what I had laying around, I probably could have gotten away with 3/16" though.

No, my balls are just fine, if they bend I plan to replace them with full width Toy/D60 Diamond Axle.

Bah...D60 straight up if the toy housing fails...JUST DO IT!!
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

:yesnod:  Thanks Mini. Your running 35's? Hmm I am going to be running 37's, I wonder if I should gusset my balls. Nah, if it breaks then I'll go big.......yeah baby yeah D60's front and rear. I hope thats after I hit the lottery.

All this talk about balls has got me worried. I am running 38's, but I think I am light enough it won't matter. Besides I don't plan on jumping this thing. :crossed:

Sorry for the jack Mini, keep up the good work and now it's time to go bug Mike.

The reason to go with the Diamond housing with D60 knuckles over the regular D60 is you get more clearance at the 3rd.

Ok, so finally an update!!!
Feels like forever since I've worked on my truck.

Fixed my front spring pack touching my tie rod by removing the degree shims and 1 leaf, so now it is a 5 leaf pack and still around the same height.
I also mounted my duals, but used the stock crossmember until I can get the FROR crossmember/skidplate.

On to the pics....
