thats funny i drove buy my local U-haul  and they have 2 toy deisel  dule box  trucks  i got all   :yippy:      they are probaly beat to crap  but i think it still be cool if i could get one for free

well i did a compression test today, i had 130psi  on all 4
not bad i guess it was 60 dgrees outside and the engine was cold

   did it again today  #1 had 150, #2 #3, and #4 had 120

i think when that piston came apart it hit the head  and cracked it along the 2nd 3rd and 4th cylinder combustion chambers,   good thing i have another head, well actually 3  but  still gotta do it

60 mile drive and didnt loose any water,  time for antifreeze

Glen,
I have a question for you.

I have a connecting rod bearing raising hell in mine when the engine is cold 

How much trouble is it to replace with the engine still in?

I've done it to a chevy and a mazda and it went OK

RJ   just drop the pan , and put the new bearings in the same as you would a chevy

its done to big rigs all the time,

installed the new mains and thrust washers yesterday,  wow  i have oil pressure again

uh  they are round  and long, kinda pencil shaped with these weird little X things on each end 





    for the front,  i have a front shaft from a 85  ,  for the rear i have a piece from a 86 2wd, that im going to rebuild with a slip spline from a low mileage front shaft
