well since we aint goin anywhere i decided to pull the rear diff and swap the ring and pinion to my elocker i got from recklund

man if i had a digi  i could take some pics,    it took  some fine finagelin   but i put those 4:37's in the elocker    had to reuse the factory crush sleeve  but i can probably change to a solid spacer later



    i just realized i installed it without a pinion seal

hmmm i wonder if the oil pump drive spline would be about right ,    its the right size diameter,     i think we have a booty fab solid spacer

well  started to modify my rear housing,  but im wondering if i should maybe use a ifs housing   for a couple inches extra width

ya go with the wider axle hosing..... or throw on some wheel spacers?

got the engine back together the other day,  as soon as the piston gets here,  it'll cram it in  and button things up

and   UPS man brought the piston today,  practically skipped  down the hill to my shop and , about a hour later, had the oilpan on

got my elocker gasket today,  most of the mods to the rear housing are done, should have the other 2 holes tapped tomorrow

thats what i alwasy ran befor,  that or the valvoline but im gettin one of those 2 fer sure

I only use factory oil, but valvoline would be second choice.

ok    i got to town and found Castrol GTX on sale for $11 /5qt 

so  i changed the oil and filter
degreased the engine,   installed the horns from the plymouth minivan  along with the underhood light ,  so now i have a light that comes on when the hood goes up     weird  little mercury switch or somethin

I've never had a light for mine, thats cool

its really cool,  it turns on  by the angle,  not sure how it works  but when the hood opend a bout a foot  it comes on,  i figure it will come on when i go up a steep hill too

i had this van (92 plymouth voyager)  so i started strippin that sucker,  i have the seats in my truck,  took the base off that goes in the van and a rocker stand from a 20 head  under the front mount  , they sit sweet

i wonder if the  gas tank will fit under the bed where the spare tire goes   i could wire the electric pump up  to just refill the stock tank when it got empty 

my horn quit workin  , not that it was loud enuff to here with the engine running,  but i took it off and mounted the twin horn set from the plymouth on the pass side fender  next to the vacuum switches 

man is that sucker loud

i did have a bumper sticker  that said "horn broke watch for finger"

but some chic rearended me and scraped it off
