I have Lockrights front and rear in my truck,  They work good off road but arent the funnest on road,  Every ounce and a while they let out a big bang, but so far everyone that I have talked to says that their's do this to.  If I did it over again i would have Spooled the rear, and detroited the front. my :twocents:

Don't mean to jack your thread but you seem to know a little about good engine parts,  I am in the process of saving some money to convert my truck to Propane and turbo it,  The engine has 164,000 on it.  but the head is a new LC street performer head and TRD stage 2 cam,  I want to O-ring the block, and use .075 Keith Black Hyper pistons, with total seal rings.  That's all I really know right now, What are some other good things i can do to help out the performance and keep the relability.  I would like to keep about the same compression because propane is 110 octane.  What are some good fairly priced rods and maybe a new crank.  If there is anything else you could add It would be much appriciated

dude, what year block are you going with and   why run the stock compression ,     propane can handle 12:1 compression

Yah i figure propane could handle that much but I want to run about 10-15lb's of boost from the turbo.  I have an 85 22REC,  I think the KB pistons on Beck's site say .075 which is close to the 94mm that I would like to do since i cant afford to stroke it, i figured I would punch it out as much as possible.  What kind of rods and bearing should i use, should I just get my old rods shot peened?  cause money is a major factor.

just run some clevite bearings and have your rods and crank balanced

Keep a bucket of ice water next to the truck so you can dunk your head in it once in a while. that will keep you cooler so you can work. I have done this when I worked on the roof all day in 157* heat in the blistering sun, so I know it works.

Now get that thing done so you don't have to sit your  :moon:  home.

well,  i have the tcase mounted and crossmember back in,

yotaboy79  did you have to cut your floorboard ??  i had to move my tranny shifter hole left 2 inches and cut the piece between it and the tcase hole out, so i could bring the crossmember all the way up,
and when i was putting the rear 3rd back in i messed up one of the studs somehow ,so it has to come back out tomorrow, unless i can get the stud out :headscratch:
