ok today i went to put my rear shaft in and the dang tcase flange had the small holes :thud:   out comes the drill

well the head is on and torqued down,  intakes on,  i'll probably fire that baby up today,

then drill out the tcase flanges for the larger bolts like my shafts are allready, thinking about the grade 8 12mm bolts but i like the toyota drive shaft bolts,
man is it hot, 97 with 70% humidity  :thud:   i hope it will :rain:

it reached 107* here today actuall temp, heat index of 118

but by jiggy,  i sat the carb on the intake, no bolts, hooked up the dist and put plugs in poored a little gas in carb and hit the key, i figured it would pop and sputter,  :smack:   the pregnant dog ran  :horseride:  apparently ive dont this so many times even in 100* heat i timed it perfect the first time,  i couldnt believe it ran, well for like a minute,  but it surprised the crap out of me,

dam im good  :clap2:  :eyebrow:

Ramrod

lets see it and lets see some burning rubber. I think I am going to be doing a build up like this soon I am thinking .40 over, stock crank & rods, ported head, ported intake, thorley header, bigger ss valves, comp cam.  How bad do you think the stock carb is going to hold me back.  All I want is to be able to hold 75-80 on the flat ground.

FATB0Y

79coyotefrg

well the stock 22 carb should flow enough to handle the extra flow, you want a 1 1/2 inch header tubes  and 2 1/4 exhaust,  my cam is a stage 2 LCEngineering race cam,  thats 12mm of stroke at the valve stem,  i'll get some burn out pics after all the bugs are worked out

i have pics RJ  i just dont have them on a disc yet so i can share

i installed the header last night,  just got done installing the carb,  i'll go back down in a bit and get the #2 alt installed and the radiator and fan
