Not sure I totally agree with that.  Your mounting surface on a ifs hub is the same as a solid hub with 1.5" wheel spacer.   The offset to the bearings should be identical.  I see no problems running spacers on a dd, if that's you concern.  Seen about 10 wheels come off from hard impacts/loose lug nuts.  Never seen a spacer come apart.

k you can think that..

Im talking about how the hubs are designed.   basicly a  SA hub witha spacer  your tire is "hanging" off of the mounting surface  and the support of the bearing in the case.

IFS hub  you arent hanging off of the surface and arent putting more stress on the bearing..

its all in how its designed

perhaps more leverage on the flange, not the bearings?

Either way, I've never seen a Toyota bearing failure due to wheel spacers, large tires or high offset.    Usually lack of maintenance or water

KYOTA

Glen, FJ rotors and IFS calipers and spacers if you need them. Spacers get a bad rep because of a few failures, keep them tight and you'll never have problems with them.

79coyotefrg

cant afford either,  done sold the calipers  and i think the rear axle,  so i'll just keep it simple for now,

need to sell some ifs hubs though
