i'm  deciding on the 5.29's
good choice. You'll be alot happier with that ratio. What brand do you plan to go with? If I were you I would go with yukons.

:haha: Well, at least you know what the problem is and how to fix it. I've still got a oil pan leak somewhere for some reason  :dunno: I may have to drop it AGAIN and this time use some RTV...perhaps that is why it was on there in the first place? Good luck with the master!

we went up to the offroad park yesterday  and had a BLAST,  worked in the morning and got to play the rest of the day for nuttin :woohoo:  Mom drove the Jimmy  and besides getting scared a couple times  and needing me to spot her through, she did great.  I was really surprised  at how well the Jimmy  did ,  a couple times  she got  hung up on a hill climb trying to cross a rut  and the front and back tires  of opposite sides  would spin out,   very little flex  and no rear locker

but  it did ok,  GREAT  for a push button 4x4  :haha:

at noon we had  Pizza  the owners of the park  had  about 10 LARGE  Godfather pizzas

Kayla :psss: (my stepdaughter) and her 12 y/o cousin  ,she was babysitting,  came up  at lunch  and went riding with me,  Mom and sis  had all they wanted  so they went home

we went up the main trail to the top of  the  mountain and rode  the ridgeline  all the way,  I started to go down  the trail  i took Diane and Mark,  but decided to keep going straight.  the rocks  got muchbigger  but  i managed  to  get all the way through without locking the rear elocker.   thank GOD  for flexy  suspensions

later   we found the mud pit  WOOHHOOOO

it was fresh  and  nice  and slurpy  ,  then we went  across the main road,  took the first right  and  went thru a bog area  along a creekbed  befor we started  going up,   it  got  pretty steep  and i had to keep  the throttle open  to get up,  even in lo-lo gear

it  was so funny cause Kayla  was getting a bit  scared,   she had a death grip  on the dash  and  was screaming OH :pokinit: OH :pokinit: OH :pokinit:,  then we hit  a ledge and the front of the truck bucked  and she said  OH :pokinit: OH :pokinit:  OH flopp
i laughed so hard  i was crying,  damn near  had to take a nitropill cause i was laughing so hard

but  after it was all over and we got to the top  i stopped  and we looked around and she  looked at me and said,  "can we do it again??"

Hey Glen, could you kill me a hamburger or two?
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

Niiice. I'll take a picture of mine now that it's home. It looks kinda funny because I've got mud on the front and rear fenders and on the sliders, but nothing on the doors???...hmmm could that be because I don't have to run with doors on?? (:woohoo: no doors!!!)

Hey glen.. Sorry for taking so long with the B'day gift.. I had to back order it and then could not pay the rest to have it shipped.. Next weekend it should be on it's way.

V-Man

:headscratch:  Hey guys, I had a question about the gears for towing.. Most of you think 5.29(?) would be best with the 33's and an 22R.  I was of the impresstion that the truck would be screaming like crazy and not going all that fast...  :dunno: I could be wrong.

79coyotefrg

well  most of my driving is on 2 lanes,  so  around 55 mph  i wanted  my rpms  to be around 3200,  the  sweetspot  for my cam  and where  i seem to get the best gas mileage

with my 4.37's  i am around 2600 rpm  so  for any  power i must run 3rd gear,  with 5.29's i'll be around 3500,  and when i go 33's  later on  i'll still be around 3200

oh,  :smooch:  thanks  for whatever it is  your sending me
