Some DA parked his Dodge so close to the Beastmaster I couldn't get the seat out the side door so I couldn't put the rear carpet in today...arrg!
What I did do was try the duplicolor graphite wheel paint on one of the nasty wheels...it came out kinda odd...

I came up just short of what I needed for carpet with the berber remnant so I decided to use some cheap outdoor carpeting from Lowes.  It went in pretty easy, just need different hardware to screw the floor in with and I can get to the seating issue.  I will probably make a throw mat outta the berber left over to put at the feet of the rear bench.

I tried a different paint on another wheel...this is regular hammertone silver.  Opinions?

I think I may just go silver, the paint went on much better.  If I had the time and inclination to really clean the wheels up the graphite paint would prob go on much smoother, but it just look like crap up close.  I don't wanna get into more colors cause I will be painting wheels for the next 6 months.

i actually like the graphite color a little bit better, but i think with the look of the silver on the beastmaster if you plan on keeping the chromed trim tha tthe silver fits the vehicle better
the silver looks more liek an oem would

Went over to a couple salvage yards to see about some seats and holy smoke they think those things are worth their weight in gold.  Cmon, 2001 Escape seats for $350...no wonder they are all sitting dusty in a shed.

So I got to exploring my options and decided I can probably fix up the seats and seat tracks I have enough that they will be usable for the time being.  I certainly have other MCR necessities I need to buy that are higher on the money list than seats.  The other thing is, none of the seats at the yards have armrests...vans need armrests.

So here is the fixed up passenger seat bottom...get them cleaned up a bit and throw some new covers on there and call it good for now.  Here is the before and after...little better and the sliders at least slide now.

Wow, this is coming along great! And I agree with the silver on the wheel even though I'm a bit late.
We (the Mammoths) will be leaving FL either late on the 6th or early on the 7th, we figure we'll probably be in CT's area by the 9th and we'll hook up somewhere along I-40 and caravan from there :hyper:

Went and found the cushiest seat covers I could due to the beat padding in the seats.  They aren't GREAT, but I gotta say they are COMFY.  I am going to trim and tuck them a bit to get a better fit.  only question now is should I use black vinyl to cover the armrests, or some of this upholstery fabric I picked up for the rear bench seat?

If the a/c works good i would say go with the vinyl,if not you'll just end up with sweaty arms. The upholstery fabric would probably be the best choice.
