Started assembling today.   :woohoo:

Pilot bearing only took 2 minutes to put in, but 2 hours to get out.  :haha:

Got the fly wheel bolted up (80ft-lb's), cleaned the surface with some acetone just in case my greasy hands got on there, and the Marlin clutch and plate on (14ft-lb's).   I had to rig a socket on the harmonic balancer to keep the engine from spinning while getting the torque spec on the fly wheel bolts.

Tomorrow I find someone with a vice and swap out the throw out bearing and start putting my new tranny in.   :yumyum:

Just find a socket that fits inside the bearing and use two 2x4's on end then drive out the sleve with a hammer.

When you hammer the new bearing back on make sure you don't hit the outer part that rest against the pressure plate. use a bigger socket or something to push against the inner bearing race. That way you don't damage the bearing.

i just pressed it on with a mallet and a 4x4 to spread the load... taking off the old one, i just found a socket just bigger than the forkears and just smaller than the inside and smacked it with a hammer... haha, i need to buy a vice, lol

if you use anything I would recommend Hi-Tack.  If you go the sillycone route, ultra grey or ultra black.

So tired.    :thud:

So here is what I got done tonight.  A buddy came over and we lifted the tranny in.    The T-case I did by myself.  Lifted it on a jack until it was around the right hight.  Then I got under and lifted it and slid it into position on the tranny tail.  I hope I didnt damage the little oil seal cause it was getting dark and I was in a hurry.  :shudder:  I guess I'll find out. :crossed:
