I wheeled my 80 in bone stock form other than welded rear and 4.7 case for about 2 years after getting out of my built samurai. I will say some of the best wheeling I've enjoyed was in that stock 1st gen. I dig how yours is built now though for sure.

Thanks.

OK.   Here are a few pics from Prairie City yesterday.  Again, I am very pleased with how it has turned out so far.

So far very stable, The MTR's are smooth on the highway and I was impressed with how much they hooked up on the rocks.  Cannot wait to hit the trail.

still a bunch of little stuff to do.  Oh, and yeah, i'm even slower now on the highway.

I love this photo!  The most caddywhompus my rig has ever been.  :gap:

Found my new drive line and u-joint.  lol

Some droop in the distance.

After all these years I'm just not use to seeing light come through under my rig.

I really like this one.

I love how unnatural the truck looks here.

Ok, so, you did a little mall crawling. Not a single tire off of the ground in any pic, I thought you said you would test it and stretch it out. We managed to get a flying tire in my dirt pile but none at PC. I was hoping you would drive it like you stole it out there. The 35's make all of that stuff Childsplay now. I guess soup bowl will be on the agenda for this weeks run into the Rubicon  :moon:

LOL.  I was actually trying to get a tire in the air.  I was aiming at high and low spots to see if I could get anything off the ground.  I was surprised I didn't as I know there are way more flexy and articulated setups out there.

Without further ado, as she sits now.

First, I had a lot of help that I am grateful for.  Thank you (SSIC OFFROAD and John Doe)

Second, I am very pleased with how it turned out. It is a little taller than I planned on but that is ok, as it will settle some.

Up next. Photos in some rocks!!

What's your frame height under the door on the flat portion? And a diameter or your tires at "X" PSI? Just wanna see what height your at..

RATCATCHER38

Nice rig mate! Looks great with the beadlocked alloys. I like the way your build progressed. I just read through the whole thing. You must be pretty proud of how it has all turned out.

Dingman.

Man it has been way too long...  where's the updates?

Pat

Just strolling through build as I am getting back into Toyotas after many years:)  I remember seeing this rig at a round up many years ago on 31's if I remember correct?  Need to read through the whole thread :)
