yotas 4 life homie!

Hyena

you would really let me barrow the die?

Hyena

so i got all of the wiring and stuff un-bolted off of the front clip.  i need to take the radiator off and then cutt off the front clip.  i have Ramrod's old front clip waiting to be welded on.  but that won't happen till after i get the timing chain replaced.  i want to have a lot of room to work with it so it will be a lot easier.

boggerunner

convert that chain to dual row, its easy and bullet proof

Hyena

thats ok, im not going to spend anymore money then i have to on this engine.  it will most likely blow up anyway when i am reving it to 6 grand upside down.

Hyena

so the front clip is cut off, started taking apart the front of the engine to do the timing chain.  keep forgetting to call Engine Builder and order the parts.  maybe i will remember tomarrow.  :)

Hey James!  we almost got your engine back together.  it's gonna be sick once it is done.  i guess your dad ordered the 30 splines too!

So i got to work on my engine today too.  puleld the old timing :pokinit: out and found the carnage.  the Drivers timing guide was broke and the passenger guide was cracked and ready to go.  the chain had chewed into the the timing cover but didn't go through into the water canal.  anyway, i got all the new stuff on there (timing chain, guides, tensioner, water pump, and oil pump).  just need to put on the pullies, fan, belts, get another oil pan gasket since i had to pull the pan, put that on, fill it wil oil and run it.  then just adjust the timing and hopefully it will run better.  worked on that pos all day by myself.

Hyena

So i got it finished today.  it runs but not what i would expect.  the miss seems to be gone.  but i can still hear the timing chai na bit.  i don't know what to do since i fallowed the instructions, guess i will just run it.  i still need to time it right but i need to find a timing light.  it seems to be close though.  i don't really want to drive it around till i get it timed.  but now i can start working on the front clip and wiring nightmare.

Shamb

Give me a call when you want to pick up those shocks. I'll have the truck home tomorrow and they'll be coming off.

i'm going to pick up a timing light today from a friend.  i was hoping the sound wasn't a bad thing.

here they are.  the clip isn't welded on yet, i still have a couple things to grind and fit.  this is the the old front clip off of RAMROD.  and the tubes won't be sitting ontop of the cab, the cab will be cut and tubes will mount inside.

olivedrab85

Nice did you get Pats head lights with it too?

Ramrod

sweet!!, I cant wait to get drunk and steal that thing again.  its gonna be pretty sick now

Hyena

yep, i have some plans for the tubing.  im gonne cut off the ford shock towers and bent some bars for shock mounts, i want to get some long bilstein shocks for the front also.  then add a couple tubes to the front that will also be bent to add a little more strength and to go around the lights i will put up front.  i might get it welded this week.  but i will have to wait to get the bender from a friend.  i would draw up a rough sketch on the puter but i don't have a program to do it  :(

KYOTA

I cant believe how hard you thrashed the sheetmetal on that ride and the top of the cab is still straight!  8)
