"No man I am going to take it easy on my rig until the roundup"  :slap:

Just playin man, thats some good carnage right there. Cage handle it alright? Lookin forward to viewin the scars up close.

Hyena

the cage is in great shape still.  the whole passenger side of the cab is smashed into the cage.  a rock actually came through the extra cab window and hit the back bar of the cage, it only scuffed it up.  but the passenger side is in worse shape than the drivers side now.

Hyena

Hyena

i may have found a rear axle already, still need to find a front.  and i gotta get the front toy axle fixed before i can sell them.

boggerunner

did u destroy chromoly birfs or ring and pinyon?

Hyena

broke all for drivers side nuckle studs and a couple hub studs.  wasn't bashing it it at all.  replacing nuckle studs 2 weeks in a row gets aggrivating.  this is 3 wheelin trips in a row that i have broken something important in the toyota axles.  i need something that won't break.

alright, so the plans are as fallows.  I am going to fix these axles and keep wheelin as much as i can while i look for a front dana 60.  I might do a hydro assist setup from trail gear soon to help wit hsteering with these axles.  i just got a broken crossmember from my boss, it is the fror style one that bolts to the back of the t-case.  i welded it back up today and plated it so it doesn't break again.  not bad for getting it free.  I just need to buy all the bolts and mounts so i can mount it.  But i plan to flat belly it while i am at it.  So i need to take out my seats so i can cut out the tranny tunnel and part of the floorboards.  I need to lift up the t-case about 3-4 inches is my guess.  then i will build a skid plate later that will attach to the bottom of the t-cases and the new crossmember.  i just bid on some nuckles on ebay so hopefully i get those. they should be here in a couple days if i win the bid.  then i can fix my nuckles and give locktup one that i barrowed from him.  i hope to have the t-case mounted and the nuckles fixed by this time nextm onth in time for the fordyce trip.  i am not worried about the t-case hitting rocks for now since it will be up with the frame rails.  and i am going to have my exhaust exit under my drivers door since it keep getting hit by rocks and smashing.  i have already had to redo it 3 times since in a couple months.

Clifcattankass

You better get it done by the fordyce trip next month, ive got a bunch of crap to do to mine also.

countrygirl

It is an All-pro cage that me and a couple friends extra braced.  it is the second truck the cage has been in.

Time to throw it down for the dynatrac pro rock 60s right :crossed:

your just going to have to find out for yourself.

Hyena

well, today i cut the trannt tunnel out of the truck.  almost cut off my finger when the angle grinder flew across the cab all over the place.  ordered a bunch of stuff from front range off-road like arp nuckle studs, 2 nuckles, some low profile drain plugs.  there goes my check i just got today  :(

no luck on finding a D60 yet?

not yet but i am still looking.  i might as well fix my axles and wheel it some more while i look.

MiniSimp

Post up some pics of your tunnel. I might do that in phase 2.

Hyena

i will take some pics tomarrow.  i still need to bolt on my new t-case mount them raise the cases 3 inches or so and see if i cut enough out.

Yota4life

Do you also have to cut off the crossmember on the frame and build a high clearence one? I know on mine i will have to do that when i flatbelly it because the driveshaft will hit. Something i read about knuckle studs is to just keep them torqued to 80 ft-lbs, over tightening streches/weakens the studs. Arps should last a long time
