that was inbetween the first water crossing and Winch Hill 1.  last year that part use to be only a couple feet deep.  the people onfront of me were going around to the right.  I was thinking "well, it can't be that hard" but i couldn't see over the hood so i didn't know what i was in for.  If i had seen it i wouldn't have tryied it :(  and i would still have a windshield.  i was going good untill it dropped off 6 feet straight down, then i gassed it and got nowhere.  It was almost scarey.  it was nice spotting to say the most.

DTB

good thing u got that roll cage in there hehehehe  :disturbed:  :ack:

Shamb

last time I was there that was blocked off w/ a big log. The by-pass goes to the left over the granite slabs.

Truggy

Brad you might as well just let me borrow your truck to take somewhere, cause i honestly dont think you would be able to tell if i messed it up. Geezz i remeber when you would get all but hurt about a scratch and now look at it.

No, thats ok chris.  the hood is still in pretty good condition, i am pretty sure you could find a way to dent that too.  And i put the leveling kit on the ford tonight.  Kent and Shane helped.  it looks a lot better but i need to get it aligned.

Truggy

how does it look with the tires on not too small are they.

I got off Summit.  it was like $250.  the fit for the trac bar mount wasn't the greatest and we had to drill out a hole for it.

I know, thay had a stupid caption under it too when i was trying to pull that guy out of V-rock.  thats was back when my truck was still clean.  And i did end up pulling that guy off the rocks, even with my blown clutch  :)

Today i me and some buddies got my bed dovetailed.  It turned out pretty good.  I would call it professional sonce there are some big gaps in the seams but it is good enopugh for me.  i still have to cut out the fenders because the tires hit.

I believe they are 285's.  It had 315's on it when my dad bought it 2 years ago.  but they hit the leaf springs while turned all the way so he got smaller tires.  It looked better with the 315's on it so that will be the next tire i will get once these ware out.

I did straighten out the driver's side bed rail before we started cutting.  i just put my highlift inbetween the rail and my box inside and jacked it out.  then my buddy Shane hit some of the dents out.  didn't really do too much body work.  I am not done welding it yet but we ran out of wire and gas.  but it is good enough to romp on it for the Con this week.  I also still need to make a couple new bed to frame mounts since the last ones were on the bumper that was cut off.  and then i might add a brace across right infront of the spare tire for a little extra support.  I am not sure if i am going to make a rear bumper yet or not.  I think i might just weld a d-ring to the back of the frame and call it good.  and for the tailgate i am going to add more pieces of 1x1 that go down across and back up and then X brace it.  I am not worried about things falling out of it.  that only thing that is back there is my icechest and sometimes my stove.

yotadork83

do you have any pics were you cut the bed. going to dovetail mine just tyring to see how other people did it so i can make the best decision.

yotas 4 life homie!

Hyena

I tried to fallow this way as good as i could but ended up cutting a little bit more.  i took about 9 inches off each side, but in this guys thread he only took 8 inches off each side.  i tried using my laser leveler but the laser wasn't long enough for the whole bed so i just drew someline and cut.  i didn't really care for the bed that much so the cut lines got wavey  :)
