Alright guys well my engine came in and i picked it up yesterday and it looks so good so its looking like hopefully this weekend ill finish building it up a bit and then ill start dropping it in. Also ive been working on the interior a bit.... the dash is completely back together just need to build up a few panels to cover a few spots on the front of the dash.... and the interior is completely prepped and is ready for the roll on bed liner so that should be getting done soon too... once i get some finished product ill post up pics

I know how boring builds are when there are no pictures but my camera went MIA so this will have to do for now for those of you still tuning in. I finished the interior..... I spent the weekend prepping the inside of my runner for my roll on bed liner.... i ended up buying a gallon of rustoleum bed liner and went to work..... and i am very pleased with how it turned out..... and for those of you who remember when i purchased the 4runner it didnt have any front seats so i went out and found some they are grey and match the pattern of my back seats (blue) and they fit in nicely very pleased with how the runner is turning out.... the only left to do on the interior is Radio and CB Radio but that can wait for now..... So now I just need to get the engine put in and we will be rolling!!! I stopped by marlin this morning and picked up a power steering box mount to move mine forward allowing for a better angle on my high steer arms so i will most likely be doing that this weekend.... Hopefully my camera shows up so i can get some pictures posted for everyone.

I must have missed it. What motor did you ultimately go with? Back to the 3.0?

Good job by the way. Your inspiring me to SAS my 92 pickup.

Lots of local people on Marlin. Love it.

Also, any lingering bad smell with the bedliner in the cab?

I did decide to go with the 3.0 since i have all the parts for it .... and as for the bed liner it is a little strong smelling but itll go away after time you just have to let it air out

Move the upper shock mounts up and the lower shock mounts down.

The way you've got the tabs angled down on the upper mount is not bueno.  I'd start by fixing that.  Looks like you've still got a couple inches you can build taller tabs off of before you hit the bottom of the body.
Relentless

82juguete

Are those 12 or 14s in the rear?  With them that far angled in, I can tell you they aren't going to do ANYTHING as far as dampening. I would probably hack holes in the floor and cage out the rear... but you know me.

Jaysen

you need to move the mount up so you can get more travel on your shock!

The shocks are a 12" shock.... i have thought about hacking out to the bed of the runner and running them into there but i would prefer not to if i could .... im thinking of building a mount that gets them a lot closer to the body of the truck... if i were to go into the bed any ideas nico as to how to mount them?

That could work and being that my shocks are only 12" shocks i shouldnt have to make my mounts that high they could probably be lower... did he tie that mount back into the frame or just screw it into the body?

def. welded to frame... and yes I would think you would only need to be like half as high as that, maybe just around the height of the wheelwells.  Also, that was a good idea plating the frame for your front shock hoops... genius even.

GONZO97

well im not too sure how i would get a decent weld on the top of the frame there isnt too much room to get up in there.... and yeah thanks i went off roading with this guy once and his hoops ripped off his frame crazy stuff.... oh yeah happy birthday by the way

I like how Swapped89 has his rear shocks. Like the explorer pic but lower, hes also in a pickup. But basically he cut the floor for a tube to weld in between the frame rails. then mounts of the tube for the shocks. hes more vertical than your shocks are, and the tube only stick into his bed, not much extra gap if i recall.

then he just lays a bed mat over it and theres just a hump. Works real slick imo
