:yesnod: Yep, but one of us is sleeping   and the other is hard at work  :flamer: making parts for the Mammoth. I made templates for the caliper brackets and will have to torch them out tomorrow. I also made the bushing for the pitman arm to accept the Toyota tierod. I need to weld that in as well. My new steering box and brake hoses should be in tomorrow and should be able to put them in. There are brake lines to make up and finish the peddles and steering column. I will be very busy :whip: this weekend so I will post pics as I find time to pull away. I want to test drive it by Sunday evening. :driving:  :crossed:

But for now I'm going to get some  so I can get up early :coffee: caus i'm tired of waiting :toiletwait: for this to come to an end.

Quick update, I spent half the day cutting out the caliper brackets and grinding them into shape.

I still have to sort out the emergence brake cable, but that should be no biggie when I get to it.

I also got the new steering box installed, so the steering is done up to the coloumn and the hoses. We also have shocks on the front. Mrs was putting the windshield frame together and painted the Willys on the tail gate.

Yup  betweeen running around for pieces and parts, I got the windshield put back together (except for putting the glass in, that's MrW's job) and spent most of the afternoon taping off the Willys on the tailgate to paint black. The only redeeming thing I can say about how that turned out is we'll have a tire carrier for the spare and you won't see it anyway.  :hammerhead:
At least it was a good learning experience for doing the much more visual hood Willy's.

Sweet.  There is really nothing more to say.  Well, other than what I imagine a few people are wondering. . .

Have you determined if a unmodified isuzu truck rotor will fit on an unmodified toyota axle?  I hope so, because that rear brake setup looks choice.  Also, it appears that the parking brake lever pulls side to side/paralell to the axle?

Keep up the good work.

Still not sure about the size of the stock axle. Do you know how big they are in diameter? I doubt it will without some grinding, You could grind off about a 1/8" or so and you should fit. You also need to drill the holes out a bit to clear the shoulders on the wheel studs. The calipers do not come with the brake hoses or banjo bolts, those you need to pick up.

Parts list so far:
1. Brake calipers for 89 Isuzu 4x4 pickup, $112.00 a set as autozone + $90.00 core charge.
2. Brake rotors same 89 pickup, $53.98 ea. Autozone
3. Brake hoses same 89 pickup, $14.00 ea. Autozone
4. Banjo bolts from dealer, $5.00 ea.
5. New bolts to hold the wheel bearing to axle with caliper bracket.  6@10mm x 45mm , 2@10mm x 35mm , 8@10mm crush lock nuts.
6. 5/8" plate carved into brackets.
7. E brake cable unknown at this time.

What's not a Mod about this thing? It's a mix of Jeep, Toyota, Nissan, IH Scout and now Isuzu. What next? The transfercase is going to go under the sawsall soon after we test it out first. Just wait till you see what I have planned for it.

Maybe after the snorkle, I don't think it will float, but I could be wrong. At least not without inflatable pontoons.

:banana:It moves under it's own power :driving:

Just got back from the first test drive ever. No brakes or gas linkage, but it rocks at idle. Got into fifth gear at idle, about 30 mph and low rang is ridiculously low.

I am working on the video so stay tuned.
