that DD post was definitely me

Also, on the SAS VS IFS  daily driver, my SAS was much better on the road then my IFS

I will take my IFS over my last waggy sas'd 4runner anyday. And I bet I keep up with it on the trail too..

....When people compliment your 25 year old toyota, while surrounded by 50k+ BMW's/MCB's. :)
....When innocent bystanders hit the deck thinking your EZ-locker is a gun going off. haha

...when you always get the right-of-way at yield signs and roundabouts.
Having a nice beefy bumper may help too, but we may never know.

...when the battery and alternator both die and you can still make it home in the dark. (Carb'd trucks only, sorry EFI guys...)

...when you think about paint and check to see what you have lying around instead of buying more.

...when you say "Rust? Where? That's just nature's weight reduction... stop poking it!"

...when your drivetrain is worth more than:
A) the truck itself
B) your DD
C) that "big" engagement ring you bought

Sand, what fun, drop pressure to 12psi, stock tires are still digging, can't afford to get stuck, 8psi, still not working. Find a place to GET OUT, air up, un-lock hubs,  WAIT whats this, hubs are UN-LOCKED already. 2wd, 8psi, stock tires, Oregon sand dunes.

when the better your truck sounds the worse gas mileage you get because all you do is mash the pedal to hear it lol

no kidding, on mine, it's more like when you run 37s on your DD, and still get better MPG than your buddies' tow rigs, or when you can drive 4 hours to a trail at regular speed on a tank of gas.

Vastoyboy

you end up carrying and fixing everyone elses crap on the trail.

Vastoyboy

your stock truck needs new tires, you come across a set of 35's and install them with a sawzall and a BFH.

Replacing birfield's is more of a sport than an actual fix.
