what springs are you running and what size shackles?

are those 39.5 iroks?

I am running a custom 3rd gen RUF 7 leaf pack with 5.5'' shackles and custom front hanger/1988 Chevy 1500 63'' rear leafs (3 leaf pack with over load cut down to act as a 1/2'' block) and 6'' shackles with Johnny Joint mounts.

Yes they are the 39.5x13.50x15 Bias Ply Iroks and the frame height is 26'' without the engine/fuel tank/cage/sliders/bumpers installed so it should sit at least an inch lower all said and done

looks good, have you driven it on the street? everyone keeps telling me w/ a full bodied 4runner I need to run a 4 leaf pack off a 4x4 Chevy instead of the 3 leaf pack that comes on 2wd Chevys.

not with the chevys yet but I had this setup on my 92 reg cab and I loved it. I also frenched my rear spring hangers into the frame to lower it a few inches. I had 4 leafs in the 92 then I pulled one and I was amazed by the smoother ride and increase in flex so we will see how the 3 leaf packs work with the runner. If it is a little too soft then I will just throw another thin leaf in to compensate!

Well I got my new pro rocker shafts, rocker arms/valve adjusters, cam, ARP head studs and head installed today. Felt good to finally get that done. here are a few pics

yeah need a few more gaskets and what not but the hard part's over. Now I need to get the welding done on my frame around the engine compartment so I can get it dropped in...

thats one purdy engine. its got some tweak internally too. im curious as to how you like that pro rocker, dual valve springs and a rv head all together.

oh and do you mind posting a running tally on parts cost for it?

yeah Ill get a parts list up later, off the top of my head I have $400 into machining and $2000 or so in parts. Only thing thats not brand new is the block, crank, rods, timing and valve covers....

I just finished rollin in mains and rod bearings in a Cummins ISX.... man thats a lot of damn work! fired right up and has an extra 10 psi of oil pressure from before. They shut down if the oil pressure drops below 20 psi at a certain rpm and engine load. this one logged 19.6 pullin a big hill so I did the bearings and new oil pump.

Now I am putting some

back together on Hannahs runner and we scheduled a valve adjustment at Toyota on Monday.... Since I never did that due to the lack of the two SST and no shims.

I am alittle dissappointed that I havent got to touch my stuff for a week, too much going on $I\'m Down$

Yes it is going to rip, that's what I built it to do. The next build is most likely going to be a 2JZ that will hopefully be pushin over 600 hp.

Finally got the rest of my parts to finish up the engine and then its on to cleaning up engine bay and paint it black, weld up all the frame bracing, shock hoops, bump stops, and steering box stuff after numerous hours of grinding then paint the frame, drop the engine in, reloom harness with marine grade loom and do a nice clean harness tuck, lengthen front driveline with schedule 80 tube, swap out rear tcase housing (has a small crack), weld up rocksliders, install the cage and tie into the frame, tub the rear inner fender wells, weld up rear shock mounts, build front and rear bumpers... then some body work and paint.... etc.... never ending!!!!!

Well I still have this damn thing.... Kind of lost motivation on it for awhile, I haven't done much of anything to it but I'm going to get rolling on it here this week after I get my springs on the Audi. I'd like to at least get it running so the engine will be first on the list to get finished up then figure out how much material I'm going to need for the rear tubs, f&r bumpers, sliders, shock hoops and engine cage. Picked up a set of old school Greenly tube benders/rollers for cheap. I need to clean them up and paint them but you can roll some smooth lines with them.

No I work for Fatboys Fleet Services but I do work on RDO trucks for the shop down the street. Yeah I really want to finish the frame and drivtrain so I can actually wheel this beast! Tired of looking at it just sitting their like a pissed off woman wondering if ill ever finish what I started....

Yeah it was kind of a PITA but worth it. I need to plate the inner section for the new motor mounts and get those built, install p/s box and install the shock hoops. Once that's done I can paint the engine bay and front section of the frame, clean up the wiring and drop the engine in!

Well we got our hot tank working again so I decided to clean up the throttle body and intake manifold tonight. Going to do some porting as well and open things up for a little more flow, might get some painted too. Ill post pics up later! $Beer Chug\'n$

yes I will be raising it a little bit

i will be deleting as much unnecessary stuff as possible to clean the engine bay up as well, I just want this thing to scream and be as simple straight forward as possible!

Box is all tapped and painted,

didnt like the way it tapped on the small top vein so I fabbed up my own 3/8'' thick buld and burned it on, really like the way it turned out! I'll post pics up later... Been super busy with work, side jobs and getting ready to drop the big turbo in the audi...

Getting it dynoed next friday for a baseline so I can have before and after dyno sheets. Bout ready to bust a nut on this damn 4runner and maybe hit naches memorial day if I can get it together in time... I feel like a slacker on this project..... $I\'m Down$
