78 Hilux, 22r/20r hybrid, weber sidedraft carb, lce longtube header and way too low geared. Needs a 5 speed swap and some taller gears in the diff but she runs like a champ!

Its running out of fuel after 5200 rpm but damn it just smokes the tires through 2nd no problem! Its a fun little truck. Everything works in it too!!! Gonna swap the 3.90's out with 3.73's I have and weld it up with a 94 2wd rear axle... Swapped out the tires for my 205s on stock toyota wheels. Rides way nicer and doesnt rub anymore.

Good for you!  My hybred w/weber will run clean to around 6800 rpm if it's feelin froggy, but if you shift to the next gear it falls on it's face.  I think it'll rev higher but I don't wanna see what happens with all stock internals!

I adjusted the valves, reset the ignition timing, tuned the carbs and modified the breathers and catchcan situation... now shes pulling past 6000 rpm... Didnt push it but the 3.90's are coming out tomorrow, 3.58's welded going back in then I'm searching for a w58 to swap out! Found she has a Crower Stage 3 3/4 race race cam, talk about valve overlap!

Just put in an 18 hour day...

So tomorrow ill start to mount the hydro assist/hoses, mount up my pump/brackets/alternator /belts, mount radiator and p/s cooler/hoses, lengthen front driveline, front/rear shocks/hoops, front calipers/ss brake lines, pull tcases and weld up the small crack or just swap out new housing, clutch slave/ss line, tub rear fender wells, setup bump stops, mount fuel tank, header/exhaust,reloom/tuck wiring harness, build upper intake plenum/intake pipe, front fenders/grill/hood, top off coolant/oils, then she should be able to at least move under her own power. Oh and can't forget the red 10th year anniversary Marlin Crawler shift knob : yesnod: I'll worry about sliders/bumpers and cage after it runs.

Got a few things done last night...

TIG'd up the drag link last night, very close under full stuff drivers side but it turned out to be a flat out BEEFY setup... 7/8" chromoly heims, 3/4" hardware, MACK truck tie rod, Freightliner truck drag link, Sky's flat billet pitman arm, 92 IFS box w/hydro assist, and Marlin's 25mm king pins.... Should hold up to some abuse!

Engine harness is stripped down and ready for the tuck and re-loom. Boss gave me enough braided marine grade loom to do the entire thing! Pulled out the v6 3 core radiator, electric fan, alternator and p/s cooler to start installation as well. Wanna hear this thing run!

Had some issues with the foreman at work so I pushed the runner out of the shop for now.  I've been getting shafted on my hours (flatrate) due to some jealousy BS I guess, almost quit... Boss asked me what I did to piss the foreman off, not sure exactly what his trip is... Now we can't stay past 10 pm so spare time working on the projects just got cut down drastically... Have to get the engine built for my dads 93, get my Audi back on the pavement and keep chippin away on the runner... Been extremely busy lately... As usual!  Turbo swap will be put on the back burner, I just need to get this thing running for now!

One thing I've learned in life is nobody gives a s--t if you got kids to feed or family to take care of. They'll be a richard and try to get you fired and it makes them feel good, we live in a pretty ugly place my friend. Keep your head up and do what you gotta do for you, f--k everyone else
