well its either a 30 or 35 pounder.... $299.95 either way....... Damn thats more than my clutch kit!!!!! But I guess if I'm going to build it might as well.....

well i'm sure mine is pretty light from the factory, I was just saying that 300 bucks is alot of cash to spend for a flywheel that might not make that big of a difference

Yeah thats a ton of mula for a flywheel..................but a stock flywheel is only like 16-18 lbs?? Those heavier ones are billet steel too......

its almost 2x the weight.... it will make a big difference i think.

good point to brign up though.. as 300 bones is alot if it wasnt a big gain.

if I do decide to get one it will be the 35 pounder and I'm debating on the 1600 lb ceramic or semi-metallic clutch....... I kinda miss my old ceramic!

Well the runner is sittin at home on a trailer..... Clutch came apart on me at 2:30 in the mornin in the back and I mean BACK of the Juniper dunes.......  It was about a 4 and a half hour walk to the other rig....... Me and my buddy were up ALL weekend retrieving the runner... after we got the recovery truck and gear and got back out there the drivers side motor mount broke and his engine flopped all sideways.... only could get it into 5th low and 5th high so HE was down... took the other rig out and flopped his bumper up big time and my runner started puffin smoke out big time after attempting to get it up a nice little hill..... SO the engine is done and the clutch is toast....... ended up trailering the runner and I drove my buddies 90 home in 5th gear low.......     but I did get the widetrack rear end under it and had a good run with the 4Deez

To top it off the machine shop is being SLOW and I need my block so I can get it built..... gonna be april before its up and running again


Now I am driving the "Twinkie" again..... 1981 2wd yota with a 20r and about 235000 miles on the rig.... Just put a new set of shocks upfront and Toyos all the way around and tore all the carpet out.... Damn mice

sounds like you are really havin some bad luck lately!  hopefully you can get that engine built soon and get the runner goin!

Yeah... nice streak of bad luck..... BUT I'm still positive about everything and I think it'll all pan out. Good things come to those who wait

the runner will turn into a trail machine anyway but still want to keep it streetable. I've always wanted to bob one and seeing yours motivated me! Soooo looks like a bob is in the plans along with new sliders, bumpers, winch, rear suspension, 36'' tsl's, and an interior cage

come to find out its a turbo block, head, injectors and intake i scored.... but the turbo is cracked on the exhaust side...... so I'm looking for a donor supra to strip and in the mean time I might throw a 22re back in it until i have the engine, tranny, cases and wiring harness ready for the truck.......

hey i have oem 7MGE cams.... those are a low buck upgrade for the turbo engines.
Just a thought.

really? N/A cams give a turbo more power?  hmmm..... I'll have to think about what I'm going to run.

they give more low end I believe.

All I know is there are sought after, for a CHEAP engine upgrade.
and being as I am going to 2JZGTE my MK3, I have almost a full 7MGE, minus the cylinder head itself.

consider it already done

ordered up my rebuild kit from engnbldr today.... getn more parts painted tomorrow....
-oil pan  grabber green
-timing cover ford blue
-pulleys ford blue
-brackets grabber green
-block grabber green
-intake ford blue with grabber green highlights on the EFI

took some time to get it done but there are 6 coats of grabber green and 4 coats of ford blue..... should hold up for awhile....  
I also go started on tearing the engine out of the runner.... all 4 runners of the intake had a pool of oil in them
should have is pulled tomorrow and I am going to build that engine after I get the other done... but that one will be stroked with forged inners

got my rebuild kit today!!!! hell yeah   cleanin up somemore parts and I'll have the block friday hopefully.  getn the engine pulled out tonight.

I tore the engine out and all the way down: stock bore, pistons, bearings, whole nine yards... cylinders look good, pistons didnt look too bad either....... burnt a valve, head gasket went and the heads alittle bit warped! oh and the clutch was FRIED! Heat chracked the out of the flywheel too so I'm just going to go ahead and get the 35 pounder from LC  

I got my block back from the machine shop..... lookin good!!! I'll get it painted this week but I will be alittle busy getn stuff ready to go up to Tucannon Friday night and come back Monday evening for my BDAY... 
Too bad the runners not together
