My favorite build right now ... what tires are those? :headscratch: kreepy krawlers?

gotrocks

Very sweet man.  Love the new spider9.  My buddy is trying to convince me to use them on my next build.  What did your final width end up being?

TheCookieMonster

this is one bad  :moon: build....keep up the great work man  :beerchug:

Mossyrocks

thanks fellas.  These are the 38.5x14.50 creepy crawlers.  Little wide for my taste but its the only width in the 38.5 flavor.

The front is 69 3/8" wms-wms.  it was 69 7/8" with the 1.5" spacers on the 44.  And my rear 60 is 68.

Mossyrocks

Alright, heres why that height isnt gonna work.

These are at a ride height of 25"

And this is compressed

Its hard to really tell whats close in those last two.  That sharp point on the motor mount is actually beside the link bracket and not touching.  Its not the problem in other words, if it were I would have cut it off by now.

porkchop

keep it coming man looking good

Mossyrocks

This is at a height of 24.25"

The panhard is 1/4" from the frame

Obviously this is too much uptravel, I think the tire would be in the hood.  Also, none of the heims are maxed out, I just think the jackstand is gonna fall if I keep going.  I was wondering about the panhard leaning like that, but it doesnt seem to matter.

And the vert. seperation has been fixed as much as possible.  Its roughly 7 5/8"

:eye: I drool over your housing, that has been my dream axle for a while now... custom 9 inch with True Hi9 3rd member. Carry on.

Mossyrocks

not a whole lot done today.  Boxed in the panhard frame bracket and made a new upper mount, boxed it in as well.

Pretty much done with fabbin for the links if it works with the steering.

Mossyrocks

well this...

Led to this...

There is no goin back on that one.  And Im not real sure how to tie it back into the internal cage.

gotrocks

looks like you got some trimming to do.  The tires look BA

Just a miller 180.  I might buy me a bigger welder later on but Ive been really pleased with it thus far.

And Im gonna have to disagree with the last comment, there are some badass builds on here.

gotrocks

Don't know if you already said so but who's beadlocks are those.  They look cool.

mich4runner

 This is one amazing build. Can't wait to see the finished product.

They are a custom cut from KORE, kings off road.  I got em from TJ ken on pirate, hes got a thread goin for em on there.

gotrocks

Cool I'll have to check that out.

Your runners looking really good man.  I like what you've done with the front end.  I'm not a big fan of how guys cut out all that inner fender well because they usually don't put it back together very well.  Yours however is coming together very nicely.

Thanks man, I just things to look nice and clean.  I dont know what else Im gonna do in the fender wells though.

Oh and on the wheels, just dont get the "M" cut in it if you get them.  Its the M from my logo...   Just thought Id mention it in case you thought they were just mountains or whatever, cause Ive had people wanting the same thing.  Nothin personal by the way.

Mossyrocks

got the lower coilover mounts made today, its gonna be tight mounting the top of the shocks though.

And I dont know why it didnt register before but the panhard wasnt centered with the frame.  So now it is.

AaronB

those coilover mounts are badass, but why so tall

Oh no worries.  I would have my company logo machined on some rock rings if I had a custom set done.  I really can't wait until you get this rig done.  I have to admit I'm quite jealous about the spider9.  Those axles are just so freakin awesome.

LilChief87

damn looks sick as hell good job man wish mine was that clean

couple minor reasons, up and outa harms way, theyll rotate in further with the axle and stay away from the tire (every little bit helps), but mostly because Im gonna poke the hoops through the hood...  lol
