To be quite honest my wife left me for no damn reason and her car was in my name...  So I sold the damn thing and blew it on links, coilovers, and a spider9 as a big F^%k you.

that sucks she left you but...
thats awesome what you did way to go out like a champ

Mossyrocks

coilover hoops are in.  Hopefully they're fine and dont need to be changed because they were/are a pain in the ass.  And I hope I dont screw up when I cut the hood.

slabcs

That should turn out really nice.  It will look mean with some clean looking shock towers popping out through the hood.
Relentless

I am going to have to come down from morristown and check this bad mo fo out in person on day!

If you don't want to mess up when you cut the hood I suggest putting a little bit of grease on the shock tower.  Then lower the hood down and the grease will transfer across to the hood.  Keep doing this until you have a clean cut that clears each shock tower.  That way you will get each cut exact to the shock tower incase they are not exactly proportional.

I.D.G.A.F

or you could just slam the hood, and where there's a dent you need to trim alittle. HAHAHA

Mossyrocks

Slamming the hood is a good one, but I think I like the grease approach the best...  lol

Jud

WOW! That thing is badass!!! I love the brackets.

thanks alot everybody, I appreciate it.

Mossyrocks

seems the tires should easily clear the coils.

Pretty good amount of up travel.

This is the only problem when stuffing the driver side, I can either put a slight bend in it or move it to the middle hole on the frame end.  It doesnt touch until its fully stuffed though so it doesnt need much at all.

I just cant get enough of flexing this thing...

Here is the clearence on the shock, plenty of room for coils.

And the tire hits the link before it gets into the coilover hoop, I was worried about that one.

Its so nice when things actually work out for once.  Now I just hope the steering clears everything.

Jud

Are you gonna bend that lower link or just let it hit?

Mossyrocks

Ill probably put a 5` bend in it.  I really dont like it when anything hits like that.

Mossyrocks

What do you guys think of this?  Itll be flanged and bolted when I get around to it.  Or I might just leave it and put flanges on whenever I have to pull it out later on.  Either way doesnt really matter.

And Ill had some gussets or something to it as well.

Lastly, I have to find a 90 for the brake line coming out of the master cylinder.  And yes, I know that line is kinked, its all going in the trash.

booger weldz

what a piece of crap! id pour a couple gallons of gas inside and throw a match on that roach!!!! :moon:

Mossyrocks

Oh noes, your on here too?

damnit man.  lol

Mossyrocks

haha, hell 5 degrees is all it would need.  Not to mention my poor bender with 1/4" wall in it.

and bring that rock racer up here, we'll throw the bling to it...  lol

Mossyrocks

This is the other place I might put them. Im 50/50 right now so who knows.

The rest of the tubing is in there now.

And the hood is cut. Which was a very tedious 4 hours

46&2

Damn, the hood turned out sick! I like the 2nd reservoir location better than at the front of the hood, seems like they might get in the way more if they were in the front.

Jud

I like the second location too. The shock oil would get hotter being mounted under the hood.  :twocents:

Heres another shot of the hood.

Since the tubework under the hood matches the tubing above the fuel cell I figured Id match it with some stainless like Ive got out back as well.

How bout them apples....

gotrocks

Definitely coming out very nice.   I like the finishing touches to the engine cage.  I would put the reservoirs in the 2nd location too.  I think that looks the cleanest
