lookin damn good bro!!   i love your truck!    so who did all the body work when you cut up the back end?  it really looks like the truck is supposed to be built like that.

I did all the body work except the last coat of bondo and the paint.  took a while as it was my first attempt.

gotrocks

So does it need any adjustments to the suspension?

nice to see it out in the outdoors, looks tight.   where do you live? awsome property, is it all yours? anyways nice wheelin grounds.  Where do you work? there were a lot of nice rigs...

Mossyrocks

the suspension feels great...  just need to get the winch to the front axle and then Ill be adding a winch to the rear soon.

The property is all ours, its just north of chattanooga.

gotrocks

You guys are lucky to have land to wheel on.  All the land around where I live is getting closed down.  I can't wait to move, its depressing not having anywhere to wheel.

Mossyrocks

it works, cant wait to try it now.

I'd hate to be the winch pregnant dog when you've got that axle buried in some of the nasty stinky mud.

other than a few minor adjustments I need to make it went beyond my expectations.  The creepies are incredible and apparently I did my homework correctly when I setup the links.

TIMS89CRAWLER

ya for sure man it looks like it flexes perfect in the pics from way back and surely looks like it performs on the rocks...badass work on the whole rig man...

The back tires were looking fine...  Its just that the trail is straight up I think.

THK Matt

broke in more, i agree. but the conditions made it much more difficult.

Watched the vids - looks like good old oregon wheeling (except the sun was out).... and I agree too much air pressure for the conditions. but its still look'n good.

Quick update.

First of all...  Its now sitting at 23.75" from ground to frame on 38.5 creepies (measure 38" on the truck).  So Ill probably adjust it back up to 24.5" and leave it.

Ive been daily driving the 4runner since sunday morning and I dont want to park it right now.  I am absolutely loving it.

It does take some getting used to but its great once you do.  It has some body roll but its actually not that bad even without sway bars.  I was planning on adding them but as of now I seriously doubt I will.  It has a little bit of oversteer from what I can tell (still need to run the finished numbers), so its a little touchy at speed but nothing to keep me from feeling fine at 80mph.  As for 80mph there aren't any bad vibrations or death wobble and the un-balanced creepies are smooth as glass.

As for off-road, its an entirely different truck than it was 4 months ago...  I will never run leaf springs again.  I have yet to even test sucking the front end down with the winch on a steep climb because it actually hasnt even needed it...  I have very minimal unloading in the front end.  Also, Ive been through a few places already that took a lot of throttle and a lot of backing up to get through before and now its just crawling it.  I have had absolutely no wheel hop so far as well...

Im sure there are more things Im forgetting as well as more that will show up but thats all Ive got for now...  Any questions just ask.
