Project Pete *Wheeling Pics!!!!!!*
« on: Mar 11, 2008, 12:10:27 PM »
Well I am at about 90 days from being home on leave from Iraq. I have aquired a pile of parts to work on my Toyota when I get home.. I figured I would go a head and share some of the plans for my truck, "Pete" as it is know around my neck of the woods.

Okay this is what I am starting with:

1985 SR5, 1,236,127 miles on it.
22re, w56, top shift t-case, 4.10's, Maxxis BuckShot 31X10.5X15.

During the last 3.5 years that I have been over seas Pete has been under the watchful eye of my Grandfather.  He had been using it around the farm till the head gasket finally gave up on it about six months ago.  I have been kickin' my self around trying to figure if I wanted to build another 22re for it or swap it. I finaly decided to just build another 22re for it because I dont have but 9 days leave in the US this time to work on it. So from that you guys can see that this build is gonna take a while because I dont get to the States but about once a year.  I'll build like a mad man while I am there and pile up parts for the next trip home when im not.

More pics and plans to come... Help is welcome when I am home, I'll even buy the  ...

Okay I told you I had a pile of parts...

From Ted and Tod at Engnbldr:

new crank shaft

full engine kit minus the pistons and rods ( I'll explane later  :disturbed:)

Street / RV Cylinder Head: P&P, SS valves, 261c "Crawler" cam

The guys at Engnbldr.com are great and I highly recomend them to any one looking for Toyota parts.
Great customer service, quality parts, fast shipping, and a wealth of knowledge.

Here is a little :bling: told you I would explain later about the no pistons and rods in the engine kit..

Eagle CRS5819T3D "ESP" 4340 H-beam connecting rods  :eyebrow:

I also called up Griffin and had them build me a 2 x 1" row radiator with an oil cooler.
Should keep it cool better than the one that popped the head gasket for me. :gap:

88 days left...

I failed to mention this R150f case from an 89 V6 truck with R151F gear set and heavy duty bearings installed in it and a turbo bell housing to make it bolt up.. Humm looks like I gotta call :turtle: to get some adapters pretty soon huh?   If any one has a shifter for a R150F tranny send me a pm I am still trying to track one down...

:yesnod: I said pallet but they treated me pretty good on the pricing and the machine work so I bought several items from them. They helped me on the shiping by putting al of it on one pallet and shipping it truck frieght instead of piece by piece. I highly recomend them (both John in sales and John in tech @ LCEngineering.com)  just as I highly recomend the guys at Ted and Tod at engnbldr.com... Now I just gotta get with  :turtle: and DTB for the rest of the stuff.
