All I have left is picking up a few 1/4" bolts (that I could have sworn I had   ) weld the shifters to the front control pivots. This will be done in frame so that I know how long I need them and check the floor board clearance...   shifts great

That is awesome. Great idea  Im really interested to see how this works. i would like to do that in my truck when i put a standard cab on it so i can still have a center console.

I think my partial color blindness only lets me see the lower half, but from what I can see it looks pretty good.

Looking at my situation on installing my transmission and duals all at once by my self and with out a trans mission jack I got to thinking.
I had an unused shifter hole that I had to cover and it was just about the center line of the trans/t-case so I built a cover with a lift bracket built in to it. I can install the whole thing with my engine hoist and a small chain pull "come-a-long" and not have to worry about it falling off of a jack.  I know the shackle looks small that it is held with in the pics but it is a Harken 1/8" shackle with a WLL of 1500 lbs.  The chain pill and the hoist in this position are both good for 500 lbs. With the dry weight of the drive train at give or take 300 lbs I am good to hook.

I'm bout to start a second project, picked up a motor and pane setup to start on my FToy.  I haven't been on here in a while I guess. None of my sig rigs are mine anymore, except the 83 thats in pieces.

I'm using a first gen frame and hood, maybe work the grill in, not the 83 in my sig though.  Making the runner my DD for a while and probably retire it in a few years back to wheeling

Finally had some time to get out to the garage got my sliders built and welded on.

Started bumper mock up. This was the only pic I took... Had Pandora Radio playing on my phone all day. Got the base done that will mount it to the frame but that was it on the bumper. Also started on the little bit of alteration the trans tunnel  needs to keep my console intact with the duals and triple stick.  Going to banana peel the floor board back then fold it back down and stitch in some more sheet metal to conture it around the shift linkage. My lift bracket worked like a champ made it easy to stab the trans.

Finally got the trans back in.  Still had to mod the floor some but I can still keep my console uncut which was my ultimate goal.

Got my rear drive shaft shortened today had to take about 3 inches out of. wound up with about  2inches in and 4 inches out on the slide at ride height.

Half way installed still have to put my t-case park brake on so I am not going to bolt up the front yet.

My improvised drive shaft jig. rear output shaft clamped in vise on table and front output clamped to table.

Worked on my bumper today and got most of it done still have to cap the ends, slick it up, paint, mount the lights and remount it on the truck.
If any one has a factory Toyota tow hook I need another and the bolts..










Yes after I cut the core support there will be enough room to mount the 5500-6000lb atv winch I am planning on running.

How the hell you been Todd? I haven't been on here much lately been trashing around on my local club board. Hope all is well up there. You wouldn't happen to have the stock bolts too would you?

Got the bumper all slicked up and painted this morning . Soon as the paint drys it will go in and not come off againtill I get my winch. Weighs in at 77 lbs. Still not sold on the black paint I'll see how it looks after I get it mounted may snatch it back off and paint it tan to match the truck.

Thanks man... Stuck the the highlift under the end and lifted the truck off the jack stand with it so I think it will do. Granted rocks are a differnt story but if it dosent hold up I'll cut it up and rebuild it.

nice and there ya go trail test it and if it dont pass build it up till it does what size tubing you use and thickness plate?
