remove the snap ring, hold the backing plate and slam! the shaft down on concrete or on a 2x4. Give it about 3 whacks and it comes right off.

Pete has been on the back burner for quite a while now. I just got through moving and have been adjusting to my new work schedual and all that..
Anyway I have been doing a few things to Pete in the last few days I stripped down a couple of the R series trannies I have and have got to order some parts before I go back together with the one for the truck.  I have a transfer case stripped down for a crawl box. I also upgraded to a dual diaphram booster on the brakes.. That is about it so far oh and I have a bunch of chevy parts for sale for future funding for Pete

update I got my dual adapter  haven't started assembeling it havent put it in yet I am waiting for a while till i can get to the drive shaft shop. I also got my SKY cross member I have installed it but you cant install the front drive shaft using thier dual case x member and just one case. I am picking up another cab next week so that I can start my cab extension thinking of a 4 door with an extended cab. Still not sure on the how much stretch on the cab yet.

They were listed as 10:1 I checked it to make for sure by cc'ing both the head and the cylender block and it came to 10.4:1  so the advertized was pretty close..

ok should I keep the extended cab window or cut it out and move the door jam back? What do you guys think?
keeping it is going to require me to stretch the frame (regular cab short box)... Unless I find a bed to cut the front part of the fender well out of and then stitch it into the cab below the window.

I like #1.  You don't need the whole door opening to get in.  I liket he extra cab window placed where the back of the seat would be.  I like the half door look all the way aound.  Doors with windows would be hard... At least I wouldn't know how to make a custom window.

Ordered my 5.29 thirds yesterday from v6 rear with a spool, high pinion front with a Grizzly. Haven't had time to cut on any thing yet on the cabs been working to much. Plan to start cutting on my next 7 days off.  Gotta love rotating shifts 7 days off in a row every month.
