The Beast is no longer for sale because I bought her NEW SEATS!!  They are comfy and they even recline.  I will recover them so they aren't blue anymore.

Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

CTENG in KS

I talked to the Beast and she was not too happy about her seats being blue...not her color or something to that effect.  So she came to a decision...BLACK CORDUROY!

I'm surprised it doesn't whistle when the air blows over it.  or does it do that when you run?  :haha:

so does is whistle when you prance along at high speed? I mean you have to move air past it at speed before it whistles, right? :reg:

The 5 inch resonance chamber I had for an exhaust tip had to go.  Tried a little trick fighter pilots used back in the day to quiet their piston driven engines.  Perforate the end of the exhaust tubing.  This technique is also used in a MUCH more complicated manner in the intakes of commercial jet engines to help meet sound requirements.

The results are astoundingly quiet compared to what was on there.  She is still loud, but all the droning is gone.

That is just an optical illusion.  It actually exits in front of the tire, the exhaust isn't directly on the tire.

Beast is so heavy it always has traction...cept on the side of the road in CA in the dirt after trailer tire blows.

So not sure what is going on with the Beast but I am going under the assumption that I will end up keeping it for now.  I wanted to get some quiet going and I found this flame resistant batting stuff at the fabric store.  Pretty thick, 1.5 inches.  It really helps quite a bit.  Much of that noise is from exhaust leaks that can't be fixed till I can pull the heads.  Not happenin right now.  I noticed those leaks were starting to melt the engine cover so I whipped up some heat shields real quick to keep my new insulation intact.
