Squirrel had a heart attack, duh!!   :shake:

:gap:
For a minute there I thought you were gonna say the squirrel busted a nut and little bits and pieces had come out.  :_oops: Nevermind.  :disturbed:

Hey DTB, if you do go wheelin with them just make sure you lead. This way if they break you don't get stuck behind them and if there's a water crossing they don't get a chance to break....win, win situation, huh?  :hammer:

Funny stuff up thar u guys.  :suprised:

I spent three hours last night stripping  off needed parts and scraping the preliminary sludge off of them.  Took a few photos for reference.

Took them in to the machine shop this morning to go through the parts washer.  back in a day.   Also I picked up some red and black engine paint.   :cheese:

I've never held a intake manifold that clean before!   :talkingn:

I still have to wait till Monday to order the rockers and oil pump.  So I guess I clay it some time next week or weekend.    In the mean time I'm going to make sure I have all the parts ready to go.

Hind sight is always 20/20

A shinny new LC engine sure would have been  :pimp: though.

Soooo.........................are you going to put it back together?

Yes I am hopefully.  I am feeling just a little overwhelmed at the moment.    :ack:  so many questions and not so many answers.
I spent this week cleaning and ordering more parts.  I also realized that I forgot to take some to the machine shop to run through the parts cleaner.

Just got my Calipers and rocker arms in today.  Ordered an extra head gasket to burn up on this clay procedure, which I am going to do this weekend.  Have to have the bridges and the long rods cleaned first.    I guess the springs are Ok.  :dunno:

also forgot the oil pick up tube.  :smack:

Started getting other needed parts from my local parts store but it is getting frustrating these days to find decent parts.  I got a water pump from Winchester and it is some no name brand called "Hytec"  stupid thing is made in China and we know how their quality can be.  I've got to much money in this thing to let some 30 dollar piece of :pokinit: part F it all up.  So now where do i get a decent pump?  Order a Bosch online, or pay 80 at Toyota or LC?  :thud:   I keep over thinking...  Now i've started thinking about, plug wires, cap, rotor.  :thud:

thanks for listening.

I hope they have changed that caliper.  We had one of those down at the store, and the damn thing never turned off unless you took the battery out.  It had no off button...and it would never "time off" like they are supposed to.

Head to napa for the pump.  make sure you get a pump that is line code NWP...part number will be 55-XXXX.  Those are brand new Airtex US-made pumps.

Wermz84

Thanks for the pump info.     I really hate buying crap!  I will be at Napa tomorrow since machine shop is in the back of the Napa store.  :yesnod:

Ya never heard of Fowler calipers but I could not afford the Starretts, they start at $185 and all my money is tied up in parts right now.
