Thanks man.

The owner came up this weekend, and while here he mentioned something about wanting to swap to 5 lug bolt pattern later on for a wider selection of wheels. So I mentioned that I happened to have a Toyota axle and front suspension in my shed. So now its a 5-lug truck.

And I made a crossmember to go behind the cab. Its 1/8" plate, dimpled 1" and 1.5" holes, with 1/4" top and bottom, internally and externally welded.

Well rather than making a smart ass remark, why don't you just not reply?.If you can respect the quality of work on the rig why not just say that and nothing else. Not everyone has the same taste as you,I personally think the BD Runner looks like ass,but I stay off your thread.I don't know Twisted Minis personally but I think his mini is sweet,if I thought it looked like :pokinit:,I wouldn't reply on his thread where he is trying to show people his mini truck and put him down.Just my  :twocents:

I love the 79-83 Toyotas. I'd like to maybe pick up a 4WD as a daily next year.

Back half is on. Just need to cut and weld in the rearmost cross member.

I'm going to sheetmetal the sides of the bed to match the way I did the cab, then send the truck to the bodyshop to get ready for "paint" and get it sprayed flat again so it matches. Then finish the interior.

Cleaned up stock, modified bench. I have this picture of the seat.

Its just occurred to me that I haven't ever really taken pictures of the interior.

You should come check out Reso. Thats what I'm going down there for. Its a "show". Buts its pretty much a 3 day party and you camp at the fairgrounds.

I used to go to the Reso runs, is it still at the Perris Fairgrounds, does Sunset still put that run on?? I used to be in Seductive with ToolPimp  That club used to put on Endless Summer at the river. Don't know if they are still around, I think there is still a group in West Covina or somewhere near there. I see the big logos on the back windows are coming back. Your truck looks good

Twisted Minis

Thanks man. Reso is now at the Colorado River Fairgrounds in Blythe. Still put on by Sunset, however this was the last year.

BTW your truck's looking real good. I'd love to see it in person when it's done.
Did you do the interior yourself? Doing anything unique with the rug or door panels?

I did outsource it, but I am considering learning the art because I have tried two shops and I am not impressed so far. As for the door panels I will make them match the seat most likely. And I will just be running stock black carpet.

^ Lol..

Heres a good driving shot from the trip back from Reso.

Thats about the coolest thing my truck does. Other than that its useless.

I also bought a new TIG welder today, and a new bottle, lots of wire and tungsten. It was between that and buying an 81 4WD. I figured the TIG would be less of a money pit. So back to saving money again. Lol.

Lol, you mean pics of the welder? So far all I have is a bottle, new gloves, and 20 # of welding wire. The welder is supposed to be here Friday. No one had it in stock.
