I like that...it would look sick if it was bobbed.

That's something I never considered with a slammed truck :headscratch:  I'm trying to find a suitable longbed 79-83 for bike hauling and daily driving duties, but I'd only be lowering it probably 2" in front and 3 or 4" in back, depending on how it sits stock.

I seriously hope the mini trucks make a comeback and all the ricer hondas, etc go away.  I'm just so frickin tired of those coffee can exhausts  :shake:

I miss my 2wd 90 toy ext-cab. I bought it new in 90, 2 weeks later I cranked the torsion all the way down, pulled the arched leaf out & put in a 3" block with 195/50/15's. I loved throwing sparks & grinding the bottom of the truck in driveways. I had a speaker box that took up the whole ex-cab from top-bottom-left-right. I used to put coins on top of the cab & crank the stereo & watch the coins flip. Nothing has changed much except that now I have a 4x4 & can't go with the big stereo system, gotta have room for the kids.

Minitrucks never went away, its just not so mainstream. Which in a way is good. Keeps the cost of parts down.. Lol.

On the ground. Laying on those 1/2" tall bubbles on the bottom of the frame that need to be drug off. Lol.

Finished the shifter too.

dude that shifter is the weirdest thing i have ever seen. thats such a crazy idea. never seen ANYTHING like that.  where do you think hes gonna grab it?  seems hella high. I hope it doesnt pop out of gear, with my 4x4, I had a kind of heavy shift knob on my tranny shifter, and in first gear ripping mud holes flying over ruts and bouncing, it would pop out of gear.  it would pop out of gear because of the heavy shift knob. that thing looks REALLY heavy. its not solid, is it? whats the thickness

that truck you showed that is you said is daves, thats the one i see all the time. its so awesome. i love toyotas.

Yeah Dave works over at the motorcycle shop on Santa Rosa avenue. I always forget the name, but everyone sees his truck around. Lol.

And the shifter, its decent to grab it an inch or a few below the top spike. Its comfortable enough I guess. Its not that heavy, all 1/8" wall tube.

it ain't all that intense. if you look at some rat rods you'll see all kinds of shifters. i seen one guy had a meat cleaver on the top.

Dude, that shifter is crazy.  I met a guy who rolled his jeep, and he just didn't have a shift knob on the stock shifter, and wound up stabbing himself on it   spent a few months in the hospital.  That thing just looks wicked.  :yikes:  glad he's not wheeling with it!

So when do you get your toy back?  I'm looking forward to seeing more of that :yesnod:  that thing is so clean, its gonna look awesome when its done

I haven't heard much on it. I told them I wanted it for a show up here on June 24th, so they said they would try for that. So cross your fingers I get it back by then.

I got a bench seat for my truck today, gonna see how much ti will cost to get it repaired and recovered.
