where did you get the grille?

I got it from CarPartsWholesale.com.

It fits good. The clips that come with it suck, so I just got some from Toyota and they work nicely. It was like $15 I think. The headlight bezels came from them too, as well as the bumper. The bumper I'm not pleased with.

Like yotaboy79 said, not my cup o'tea, but that thing is nice

I like all the work you put into it.  I wish I had the patience (and time and space) tobuild from the ground up.  You've done some nice work on this thing

  can always appreciate the fab skills, doesn't matter what it is! :yesnod:

I'm not into that kind of truck but it's amazing how low you can get that to the ground.  You should use those fab skills and 4 link a 4x4.

Infernal really i think that BD has a right to his own opinion and he can say what he wants, some of us just aren't into these kind of trucks doesn't mean that you don't respect the guys work and really he asked "what do you guys think"  And BD told him what he thinks.

Well rather than making a smart ass remark, why don't you just not reply?.If you can respect the quality of work on the rig why not just say that and nothing else. Not everyone has the same taste as you,I personally think the BD Runner looks like ass,but I stay off your thread.I don't know Twisted Minis personally but I think his mini is sweet,if I thought it looked like :pokinit:,I wouldn't reply on his thread where he is trying to show people his mini truck and put him down.Just my  :twocents: .

Infernal really i think that BD has a right to his own opinion and he can say what he wants, some of us just aren't into these kind of trucks doesn't mean that you don't respect the guys work and really he asked "what do you guys think"  And BD told him what he thinks.

Dang it!  When is everyone going to stop blaming BLACKDOG for things that I do?  It's a simple matter of BD vs. bd.

I'm not sure what could possibly look like "ass" on the bdrunner, but...

As for Twisted Minis truck, when he gets it finished I'm sure it will look sweet and if I saw it I know I would be impressed with the craftsmanship.

There is a guy in town with an old "boat" that is decked out to be the ultimate pimpmobile with curbfeelers and feathers on the dash and I love the car.  It is so well done for a pimpmobil you gotta love it, but I'd never own anything like it and don't know why anyone would do that to a car, but...

Plus the trucks name struck me as funny.  Can we all just be friends?

I think of a lot of stuff that way. "Damn thats cool, but I'd never build one."

I respect your opinion.

As far as those asking for sparks, I don't drag this truck.

Dude, that picture is insane!

What are your plans for the bed?

You should run a W56 4WD trans with a dual ultimate t/case setup so you can shift it into Double Ultimate Low (just 2WD of course) and using a front line lock, lock the front tires, and with the truck idling in 1st gear, get out and walk away from the truck with it just sitting there slowwwwwwwwwly spinning your rear tires in place while your audience drools on themselves

What can you guys do about the front camber when slammed? Can you build some upper cantilever arm that gets longer as it drops?
Keep the pics coming :beerchug: Thanks for hanging out over here. I get slammed all the time on pirates.

For the bed I just want to raise the stock corregated floor, and sheetmetal the sides. I don't want any holes in it really. Maybe re use the stock inner fenders, or get some out of a 70s Blazer.

The camber up front is pretty much inevitable. I built new arms to reduce mine, because I had way too much before. You can build your own front suspension that only cambers a total of about 5 degrees throughout travel, and it will still work fine and handl well.

I'll post a picture of what the camber looked like before later on today. It was ridiculous.

I bet those chevys(yellow one) are easy to slam cause the wheel wells are so freakin big. How much clearancing was need to the inner wheel well? Or did you just completly remove the inner?

Just removing the inner fenders was enough. Sheetmetal wise it was easy to lay out. Suspension wise, the front needed a LOT of work.

Put a new output shaft seal in the transmission. I think after having the driveshaft hump it a few times it started to leak. Plus it was 30 years old. Also put a K&N in it since I found out when I smogged it, my generic filter was really limiting performance. And I was actually surprised by a noticeable difference.

I stopped by the bank on the way home from work and laid it out at an angle next to a big ass tow truck. Now I regret not taking the picture because it looked awesome.

that looks like SHI....   just kidding

nah I actually like this build, puts the word "slammed" into a whole different category.

Looks like the frame is completely dropped, can you even drive it like that?

I figure'd the airbags would raise the cab but what about the frame?

The bags raise the frame itself. The cab is attatched to that.

Well I dropped my truck off at bodywork yesterday. I'm nervous and excited. I'm very anxious to see it all blue.

So to keep me busy while its gone, I'm bagging a Mazda for a customer. It was brought to me like this:

And this is what I've done to it so far.

And I got some new notches for it.
