My F-toy build
« on: Dec 26, 2006, 10:32:17 PM »
Got my F-toy frame last week and my doner chassis a couple weeks ago. The Doner is a 2 wheel drive, cause well my trucks frame is trashed. Rolled it and beat the hell out of it at the Hammers. The front is cracked were the front spring hanger is and the roll I think just tweaked the frame good. So I got a 2 wheel drive frame and the price was FREE.

So tonight I had some friends over and we stripped the frame the best we could with out a torch. Going to get some gas tomorrow to cut off the body mounts and whatever else.

Slow going right now, the frame is pretty much stripped down, ordered my new seats, front spring hanger and motor mounts. Got my 5 point harness's and fuel cell. Going to start welding up all the holes in the frame from the factory and make it purty. After the AP run the truck will get tore down and I'll get moving on it......

So it has been awile, like I said it is going tobe slow going. But have got some things done. Leaving in a week for work and will be gone for 2 months. So I am trying to get as much done as I can so when I get back I can get started on putting it together. Most of the donner frame is cleaned off. Still have some crossmembers in, but they are not coming out till I get some news in. Had some friends come over Saturday and we stripped down my truck  :sad2: Sad to see it go.

Here it is in its final momements

Another

The cab

The front

Here is the frame, all cracked up from the front spring hanger.

Another of the frame cracking

More frame  :_oops:

And it gets tore apart  :beerwhack:

My crazy help :stopit: (Thanks guys!!!! :beerchug:)

More,  :blah:

The motor, tranny, t-case, wiring harness, seats, roll cage, etc... are out. Up on the trailer to pull axles.  :bud:

One out

Crazy help, and the other axle is out  :psss:

Sad, sad.   :-\

So this is the other frame. Its a 2-wheel frame. Fun cutting the front suspension mounts off

Welding up the holes on the frame

This is the only problem with the frame, not prob!!  :yesnod:

My help again, Thanks!!!!

More grinding and welding

Frame is looking better   :beerchug:

The front suspension mount used to be here  :screwy:
