The "Toy" is coming along slowly but going in the right direction.I painted the entire new section and used about a 1/2 quart of paint. :flamer:
I also finished the Currie rear end and painted the entire housing and 4-link components.I'll be reinforcing the tool box to accomadate
mounting the 10 gallon propane tank. That tank is a beast.I've ordered the  brake lines and all the new parts to make the  braking system work well.I need to install the FJ-80 master cylinder to complete the brake system.Just a bunch of small things to finish the truck.

Dude, that is awesome. Did you do your driveshaft like minisimp, except for the obvious change in yoke? 2.5" X 2"? If the larger is 2.5", is it just called "receiver hitch tubing" that doesn't have the weld line in it or down the middle, or does that kind of tubing have another designation? I have problems finding that type of square tubing around here. I don't know if I am asking for the incorrect type, or people from the south haven't heard of that before. lol

.....ask for seamless square tube..you'll have to find it at a steel/metal supply buisness..more expensive, but the only way to make a good square driveline..I don't however, reccomend it for street use..OFF-ROAD only.square tube will not balance out and wipe out your u-joints.much stronger than a round wimpy driveshaft and much less expensive..I'll be carrying a extra "short"square shaft so it can be used in the front or back of my Toy..

Thats what I was going to say.  is it possible to balance a square shaft?  I have a square front drive shaft and i have drove it in 4x4 up to 35mph and it wasn't fun.
Looking for 35s in SLO later summer time, like august.  Swapping Tires??

I've got a square driveshaft and i don't mind it to much.  Its only the front but I will have to admit it pretty much is indestructable.  Way to go guys you built a really stout truck.  How do you think those 42's will do in the snow?  I wouldn't guess they would do to hot.

How do you think those 42's will do in the snow? I wouldn't guess they would do to hot.................they'll work as good as any other mud tire..
we'll soon find out...at 3-4 psi i'm sure they should work great...there 15x42 so have a wide footprint...
they should float on top fairly well and i have modified the tread...

hey you got the same tire groover I have, how do you like it.  I absolutely love mine.  How'd you groove your tires.  from one of your pictures if looks like you only took out the middles in the center lugs.
