I used a plastic putty knife to scrape excessive mud off. Then 000 steel wool to get it down to aluminum, then etched and primed, then 3 light coats of eastwood aluma blast...

Looks real good.

Ive got a dual case setup that I plan to fully rebuild and install 4.70's. I'd like to get the cases looking nice. I remember zippo had some cases anodized and they looked pretty good.

Sure will.. the plan is to make a template with some posterboard.. then transfer to 18 or 20 gauge sheet metal.. then slow going tack and walk away.. repeat...

spool gun?  What are the needs or advantages of these vs.  Regular spool in the welder?  I'm still learning.
