Doof

did you figure out a way around the orbital issue with your fittings an what not?

Hyena

not yet, gonna go looking for some kind of riser fitting tomarrow.  need longer lines too.

Doof

if its not one thing its another

Brad I got a good story for you.  My buddy was over today reading through an old Toyota 4wd Owner mag and he saw the picture of your truck at the hammers and started laughing.  I walked over to see what he was laughing at and he pointed to your truck and said "dude check out this beat to hell truck."  I told him I knew you and not o bash to hard because she was getting a bit of lovin right now and that you said you'd never sell it.

I just kinda made me laugh a little because I had forgotten about that picture and we had just been talking about how beat your truck is.

Hyena

i can still see that picture in my head.  it did look really beat up with the bed on it.  i think it looks a little more chill now.  puts a tear to my eyes everytime i look at it.

on another note i might just get some stock 35 spline outers and spicer joints and rock them till i can get the yukons.  really itching to drive this thing and i shouldn't be breaking stuff this winter.  also waiting to find out when FOA is coming out with the 2.0 coil over, getting anxious.

Doof

dooo it.... take this beast up to lil buddys snow run for his b-day

Hyena

i am hopeing to make it to that.

Hyena

should be picking up a set of brand new 35 spline spicer outers this weekend for $160.  then i'll pick up some spicer joints and i could hev the front shafts in this weekend.

Shamb

brad what are the spec's on those coilovers you are going to run?

in the pics it looks like it's going to be REALLY tight in there!

is that were you plan on leaving your air intake?

also looks a little close to the intake manifold but there's probably not much you can do about that other than play w/ different mounting points for the coilovers.

Just a bit of friendly advice, just tack everything into place until you get the coilovers so you don't do what I did and spend hours relocating and rebending tube  :hammer:

I always do things the hardway so no one else has too   :gap:

those are the shocks but they will be in a 2.0 version.  it will be tight for sure.  i do plan on just tacking everything in and flexing it out.  i want to keep the intake right where it is at, i can't really move it anywhere else anyways since there is no room.

took me awhile it was way back on page 50 or some :pokinit:  :talkingn:

what about if you route it through the fire wall into your glove box area... wouldnt have to worry about water crossings and what not and you can see right where the water line is if its up that high and flooding you

kiyul4130

callens is just like yours but a little bit lower. your guys trucks are the same color to. he might be bringing in the fenders to. butt buddies?

too much work and i would like to keep my glovebox.  with my intake being this high i have never had water get into it yet so i am not worried about that.

Bazzi

I had that mod once. the intake was rooted to the firewall. and was hooked up to the firewall when needet.
it´s a good mod, and is used in many water crossing busses here in Iceland. but you will always cnow when the inled is hooked up to the firewall or not. More noice inside the truck. some smell oil. but I always felt under powered. I ditn´t ever try to drive the truck like that with windows open. that might help.

just ordered some spicer u joints.  you would think stock u joints for a 60 would be easy to find but not.  no store around me carries these.  i went to Kragen, Autozone, Napa, and even Napa's main distribution store which only carries Spicer heavy duty truck joints appearntly.  just ordered them from the U-Joint Store online.

gotrocks

When you going to be ordering the coilovers?

Hyena

not sure.  just spent all my money.  they haven't even came out with the 2.0's yet.

but i got the right hydro line today.  put them on and something is fugged with my orbital.  gonna try it again tomarrow, maybe it is just air in it.

Doof

when you first ran the box did you have stock axles or longs or your 4.7s for your cases?
