find a front 60 for cheap over there and send it to me.  i can throw that under your truck no problem!  hahaha

Doof

brad you might as well start your own fab shop... you have bumpers down, and now your going into 60 swaps... nice little side job for when welding gets slow

kiyul4130

experience...forgot about that lil guy

Hyena

well i got the new seals for the shifters. shouldn't have any water (oil) falls out of my t-cases anymore.  te only sucky thing is i am not going to pull my t-case just to install the twin stick so it will look like a twin stick, but not be functional like one.

THK Matt

why not functional? you stil single case?

i would have to pull them out to take the pin out between the two shifting rods.  it it hell to take these cases out so i am not going to do it.

gotrocks

you have a PM I need to know if you want the hubs so they can get down there for the roundup if you want free shipping

Doof

is it a pain to pull the cases since you did the old school flat belly by lifting the drive train?

Hyena

ya!  i have to pull both my seats out and do a little cutting on the mount.

got an idea how to reinforce the steering arms even more by adding a 5/8's bolt to each one.  should be pretty indestructable after that!

kiyul4130

drilling and tapping everything? you gunna have much material left?

here is a list of the stuff that needs to be finshed.

buy caliper brackets
buy wheel hubs, bearings and studs
buy drive flanges
buy axle shafts and joints
buy shocks, coil overs for the front for sure, might end up running 2.5 air shocks in the back
finish hydrolic steering lines
finish brake lines
build front shock mounts
buy cromo output shaft and reseal t-case
mount plastic skidplate
reinforce steering arms
build front bumpstops

Shamb

have you ran coilovers/airshock combo before?  or know anyone who has?

It's probably a cheaper alternative for now but from what i've been told the rear get's way over worked because of the coils in the front.

Just something to think about..

Hyena

no but i know i want coil overs in the front.  i think the 2.5 air shocks should be able to handle the load in the back.

Shamb

what I mean by it is that say for example your front driverside tire is on a rock, the weight of the truck will start to distribute to the rear passenger which is going to collapse alot easier then the driverside front because instead of just an airshock.. you'll have a coil wrapped around that airshock.

Hyena

if the air shock is pressurized right then it should collapse at the same time (or with the same force) as the coil over.

Shamb

yea but it's going to take more pressure to push down a pressurized airshock with a coil wrapped around it as appose to just a pressurized airshock by itself.

Edit: I had to re-read your post again, i'm a tard late at night.. yea as long as it's adjusted accordingly then i'm sure it'll be fine.

Edit Again:  But we all know how much "fun" adjust airshocks can be!      :hahaha:
