Hyena

I only need one ball.  thanx!

Ramrod

kiyul4130

:rofl2: hahaha

i was going to say ill go look for my :pokinit: also if nobody got you the ball and bearing

Hyena

got hella people saying they have them.  and i have 2 of everything, just nothing that i need!

Hyena

well i gotthe parts i needed from Dain (inyourownsummerami) and got the cases back together and installed today.  seats, and belts are in also.  extended the front driveline, clocked the new piece a little to take out the slop.  beveled it and put 3 passes over it.  it should be good.  drilled out the rear t-cases flange and driveline flange to 3/8's and put some 3/8's grade 8 bolts in there.  should be stronger then the 5/16's grade 5 bolts i had in there before.  just need to fill it with gear oil and put the shifters back in and that job will be done.  also got the wheel hubs on friday so i mounted the rotors on them.  still waiting for the caliper brackets to show up before i can put it together.  hydro lines and fittings should be here on the 15th.

Doof

nice... way to go big with all that little stuff so its not a worry down the road to much

coil overs will be the next big purchase.  looks like i need 18's for the front and 14's for the back.  F-O-A seems to have some pretty sweet prices these days.  i can get 4 coil overs with reservoirs (no springs) for a little over $1000.  springs will be another $600 if i buy them new.

gotrocks

18's up front.  WOW your going to have a ton of travel.  I can't wait to see how you shoe horn those in there.

Hyena

ya, its wierd.  at ride height i have 31 inches between the two points i want to mount the shocks too.  with 5 inches of up travel that leaves it at 27 inches compressed.  F-O-A says there 18 inch shock is 26.25 inches eye-eye compressed which is pretty perfect for me.  and i won't have to cut the hood!  i was running a 16 inch air shock in the back but i did lower it an inch or two so i guess i will have to step down to a 14.

gotrocks

Like I said I can't wait to see this.

Hyena

not sure for halloween.  pat might come down this way.

got the caliper brackets today, but theee top caliper pin won't go in on the drivers side because it hits the back part of my highsteer arm.  i am going to take the arm to work and try and bend it up to clear the pin.  hopefully the ram will still mount to it after i bend it.  :(

Doof

what about milling it out a little bit

Hyena

I could but that will take away some strength in the arm.

Doof

yea i thought about that right after i posted that...

good luck with that bend... hope it doesnt flopp anything up

Shamb

think that will have issues further down the road if you bend it?

looking at the picture's you'd just barely have to shave a small section out, would it make that big of a diff. on the strength factor?

R.I.P to my Papa, I miss you pops......

Hyena

its only a small part on the outside of the arm, but towards the inside i will have to take a little more out.  i may just mill it and then put a brace on the top of the arm.

Doof

i was thinking on the bottom could also work

just some 1x1x 1/8  or 1/4 if you want beef flatbar would be good... since the theme is beef supports now
