cant wait to wheel this summer....

Hyena

brakes just need to be bled, hopefully picking up an orbital this week in chico.  if i get that then i will take my truck to work next week and finish the shock mounts, limit straps, gusset and misc stuff.  then wait for the coils to come in, but i really don't have that much to do.  not more then a days work.

"Later, I learned that even though I engage 4WD my hubs are not automatically locking? Something about manual locking hubs I think. What's manual mean? I need to read a manual to lock them? lol  So I found these neat autolocking hubs and installed them. Sometimes they dont stay locked while I am backing up, but that's fine because I dont have a backup camera to see where Im going (like our RV) so I just simply dont ever back up"- BigMike

i have been working my ass off on this piece of :pokinit:.  i have put 7 different orbitals on it, finally got one that works and it leaked.  so i had to take one of the others apart and steal a seal.  it finaly steers good now.  still trying to figure out the charging problem.  was suppose to take it for a test run tomorrow but i won't make it now.

gotrocks

What happened to your charging system.  Did you lose a few grounds in your electrical system when you chopped it all off up front?

Hyena

no, when i wired up my push button start one of the wires in the ignition activates the alternator or something.  i didn't have it hooked up so it wasn't charging. got that fixed and now the orbital is screwed up so i have no steering.  just one thing after the other.

gotrocks

hey man try imaging trying to do a 2 LS motor swap and front linked suspension and getting it all working in like 3 weeks.  I know what its like trying to find all that little crap that seems to go wrong.

In the end it will all be worth it though. You will be soooo happy with that new suspension and full hydro.
