Well, you've got the XCab, so driveshaft length isn't a problem...call MC and see if they would take it as a partial core if you want a 4wd trans.

"5 speed tranny its got an automatic in it right now"

Why don't you want to wheel the auto ? Just got back from wheeling my truck for the 1st time since I build it and the auto was sweet to drive on the trails ? Just curious.

do you think the auto would hold up to 36's or mabye 37's? I realy lilke automatics. i just realy  like how simple and easy to work on the 5 speeds are.  I like your truck man. thats just how i want mine but i probly wont have a bed for a while.

"36's or mabye 37's" ...... I really have no idea. I'm running 35" Goodyear Wrangler MTR's 5.29 welded rear and lock rite locker up front. Running the trails was great in the auto but going down all the hills my foot was on the brake. I'm glad it was dry most of the weekend cause I feel like I would have been sliding down everything. The down hill stuff is the bigest draw back to the auto I think.

Keep up the good work on the truck .

Yep 2wd sheet metal. Fenders, hood, doors, and bed are from a  1988 2wd donor truck I picked up cheap.

just something dumb i noticed.....

bricks probably arent the best thing to be using under those puny jackstands....

have you ever hit a brick with a hammer? it doesnt BEND it CRUMBLES. think about what happens when you accidentally drop your BFH and it makes contact with the brick  :suprised:

looks tits otherwise! any ideas for the flatbed design?
