I don't have money for a 60. I can get a 44 with 4.10 gears for a couple hundred bucks. 6 lug, Keep the gears and keep it open so I won't worry about blowing shafts. Probably just leaf springs also. Not looking to totally build it just yet.

Ya I haven't been on here in awhile. The old truck is all back together and ready to wheel by the new owner. It might be back up for sale though because he really doesn't have much time to take it out. I love my new truck. Pretty much the truck I wanted for a dd/wheeler. I took it to moonrocks this last weekend and wheeled it pretty good for having IFs and no front locker. as it sits right now it is ready for the rubicon and fordyce. 3.4L 5 speed, 2.28x2.56 dual cases, 35's, e locker, bobbed 8 inches, rock sliders, rear bumper, winch, York OBA. Plans are Chevy springs and a front 44 for now.

Nice DD.

Thanx!  I took it to the Rubicon last weekend. Camped at spider and went down to Buck saturday. The truck did really well. Got a dent on the passenger side but nothing big. Ended up breaking a front cv shaft coming out Sunday morning. Something I expected to break though so its no big deal. I have a spare now can can change one out in about 10 minutes. Gonna be going back for the weekend after the 4th. It did about 95% of the trail without using the rear locker.

Can you snap a couple pics of your interior shifter arrangement and crossmember? I just put duals in and was looking for ideas.

Don't have in interior picture right now but I will get one. The front shifter is about an inch back from stock. The rear shifter comes up between the cupholders which kind of sucks.

No problems so far. Could have come with better directions. The V6 addapter come with 4 holes that weren't tapped so I tapped them. I got it off pirate for a screaming deal though so I wasn't complaining. Best thing I have done to it so far.

Haha thats funny you say that. I had to tap the 4 holes on the tranny adapter that bolt to the left hand side of the tranny.

First picture is the only damage I got on the rubicon. I didn't even see that rock coming. Third picture is the York setup.

that does suck on the shifter placement but not much you can do about that, i wonder if you could cut and reroute the shifter further forward... looking good though...

Sweet truck man! How do you like the duals with the v6 case?  Ive been thinkin about doublin' my v6 case but im gonna run a 4.70 gear in the crawl box.. do you know of anything to do to beef up the v6 case? ive never really heard of any one breaking one tho ? And it is cool that it can be shifted on the fly.

as far as I know, there is no aftermarket for the V6 Tcase itself.

I love the cases. The stock 2.28 in front is actually pretty slow. I didn't want to put too much stress through the taco case with lower gears in the front. I have only heard of one case breaking and that was the 4wd part from hiting a rock. Mine is all protected though so I am not worried.

Built a bumper last weekend.

^^ x2 .... i didn't want to risk breaking my tacoma chain case input  w/ 4.7 up front.. the 2.28-2.56 is plenty low enough with these pigs.

P.S.   how much did it cost you to build that bumper?
