now you get to grind a bit and fill. ever think of filling with lead? i know a guy that has some and ive been itching to see it done.

Yes, and no. I can do it and have, but it is not as stable as you may think. It is softer than the base metal and moves causing problems in the finish. Also acid is used in the process and if it is not cleaned off properly it caused blisters and rust.  Not to mention it is quite heavy.

Here are some pictures of an Amphi car that I restored.

I did manage to get the welds ground down tonight  :clap2: Too bad I wasn't out there last night instead of wasting all my time here.

I need to have the paint work done this weekend or else. The radiator needs to be done and installed by Monday and everything else by Wendsday and tested. No if ands or buts, It must be ready to go.

Just came in for an update and take a break, back to it.

Got it primered, but what a mess.

The paint supplier sold me the wrong primer and in mixing it with the rest of the old primer it started kicking in the gun.

I dumped it out real quick, washed the gun out and mixed up some more.

Then I realized they sold me surfacer primer instead of high build filler primer.

We will see tomorrow how that turned out.

Well he has been up since about 3am, and is now getting some paint on them.
He still has a lot of work to do.
Got to finish the radiator, make a fan shroud for it, mount the winch, what else, I know there was more, and this is all before Wed. :whip:

Marks got Marlin's sig taped off under the hood, he'll dust some color around it and clear over the whole thing...

Yea, but it is going to make the rest look like crap.

Need to hurry up and get some mud on it and some dents and scratches wouldn't hurt either.

Guess we need to go wheeling with RS again   :aaa:

Well no sooner did he get the parts on and get it outside then it started raining :tantrum:
I didn't even know it was out there till he was moving it back in the garage. I would have liked to been able to get a picture from a distance and get a good look at how it looks now.

But that will have to wait for later.  :snare:

damn willy, you are the man. i thought i was crazy about wheeling when i was out in the garage at 2 am in my boxers and flip flops fixing an o-ring in my steering box. my girlfriend tried to take pics as bribery but i had the memory card and she couldnt find it. i must say that is the sweetest toyojeessan ive ever seen and it keeos getting better. when you get time you should come wheel with fattshack again. i missed the last time you did, i wanna see the mammoth drop again.
