Another couple hours on the fender and I will start chopping up the hood.

That 3rd did get a little close to the fender, how much body flex do you get .

None that I know of, but I am going to rebuild the crappy front bumper and may move it forward a couple inches as well as sinking the winch down behind the bumper.

This will need to be done anyway when I do the links and 42's.

That would not be the Lantherian way, old body men never die they just stretch their hoods.

Is it really snowing in FL already!??
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

I decided it would be easier to split the front of the hood apart and narrow it to follow the same taper than try to fudg it.

I got the angles extended and the front of the hood welded together, that's it for tonight. It is going to be fun welding in the middle without warping the crap out of the hood.

Not a stupid question at all, these are clekos. They are used in aircraft and custom auto construction.

They are temporary fasteners so you can position your panel and remove it for trimming or other purposes until you are ready to attach it permanently.

I swear you have too much spare time on your hand.....I made an SST to change out my rear bearing....it took too long...I had to screw two flanges onto a peice of 1.5 inch pipe....lol
Sand, what fun, drop pressure to 12psi, stock tires are still digging, can't afford to get stuck, 8psi, still not working. Find a place to GET OUT, air up, un-lock hubs,  WAIT whats this, hubs are UN-LOCKED already. 2wd, 8psi, stock tires, Oregon sand dunes.

Yea, and they used to say I was slow too. I just liked to day dream, nothing they were teaching in school was interesting enough to keep my attention, except for this one teacher, but that is another story.    :gap:
