Ok, I'm wheelin close to you at MCR.
I'm planning on having a use for that and a reason for you to trail test it! :hammerhead:

haha he will probably be using that on alot of people trucks at mcr5 lol

gotrocks

yeah but the thing that suck about those welders is you can't weld on yourself.  You only can weld on something if you can take it off the vehicle

I will deffinatly be interested to see how that works.

Dang it I knew what you were hidding in that box, if you'd had waited a day. I saw your question and said it a welder, then I scrolled down and saw that you let the cat out of the bag. Excellent idea to put it in the ammo box.

I spoke to Premier about this and they said you can't use a positive ground / neg lead on your own rig.

BUT if you are like me and don't need electric to run your rig and can disconnect the electrial system from the rig you can do what ever you please.

I was also told that using a positive electrode still does a good job because they use a high frequency DC that helps.

I have yet to try it so I can't comment.

i meant injection pump,  older diesels  usually had a electric solenoid that cut the fuel supply to kill the engine, but had a screw to turn to keep it from cutting the fuel if the alt went bad

to run cooler  poor a qt of used motor oil back into the tank,  for HP  use ATF in the tank

What part of NO power is needed to operate the engine in the Mammoth do you not understand?

Once it is started it will not stop till you kill it manually or I run out of fuel on the interstate.

It actually welds pretty smooth once it gets going through the high frequency DC, you can't build a skyscraper but for on the trail quick fixes and tow recievers on a motorhome they work just great.

Got the exo cage sanded and painted.  :flamer:
As I was moving some plywood to lay the pieces out I found that little guy in the first picture laying in the grass. He's about the size of half dollar. A baby alligator snapper! :turtle: I can't believe that little guy is going to grow into some so huge and mean and nasty.
Course I wouldn't put my finger near that guy even that little either! :yikes:

This seems to work really well, it is way hot and welds in both polarity's without a problem.

It is better with a positive ground, but has no trouble with a negative ground, just need to push the rod in a little more to get the fill.

Even runs the grinder with no trouble.

Can't wait to see how it runs the coffee maker. :coffee:

Ive read elsewhere that those things put out some SERIOUS heat.
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5
