Another job well done, just go buy another gauge and get it over with. I don't know if you've seen them but they make these replacement gauges that would be perfect for a Willys. I was looking into them just before my fire. They are the round type and the speedo is electronic so you could even see how fast you are going and not need your GPS. Oh and on that my brother has the Willys back up and running, and it is still as yellow as yours.

Picked up some more diamond plate aluminum today for the roof section and a rear deck.

I started mocking up a tool box to get the most space I can behind the seats.

Mark,  go to a bigrig junkyard and get a primary tank , they are usually alum  and already have blowoff valves bleeders and hose fittings,  and a primary tank is usually  maybe 2-3 gallon size

It needs to be no bigger than 6" in dia. and 24" to 30" long.

I spent an hour the other day in a TRUCK yard, but didn't see anything that small. The tanks on a twin tank job site compressor would work fine, problem is they cost too much to buy and throw the rest away.

I did find an intercooler, it measures about 3 foot square and 2" thick. It had a busted tank, I want to see how much they want for it. I can cut it down and make about 4 intercoolers with it.

We have a soft side cage for them. Mark's going to put a deck just behind the toolbox about the height of the bottom of the roll cage.
The dog cage will go on top of that, and we can put the cooler and other stuff underneath. We want to minimize what goes on the roof. Just light stuff like the tent and sleeping bags.

I noticed that there is some open area on the sides, my thought is if you leave those open and you have tools in there they could slide and put little dimples in the sides of the Willys.

but then u would have 2 keep the sides open for the slider 2 slide out.    just throw some quarts of oil in there or straps.

OK, I was just posting to correct you. Yeah, there are no open ends.

He's going to put a lip on those two small ends inside to make a small pocket inside, and he'll put another divider inside as well.
He's also talking possibly rails along the top for a sliding tray.   :beerchug:
