No they are a accent light that use an H4 bulb. Problem is they are a spot not a flood. We will see if they put out enough light soon enough. :crossed:

Thats why im looking at the VW TDi,
I can get the whole donor car for $1500, course then you need adapters and a trans and T-case and driveshafts and motor mounts and who knows what else.

the halfcuts have all that for $5K
the slushbox halfcuts are $4K

 :rofl2:

I am done with the shackle reversal. You think I have time to do the 3.0L Toyota diesel swap?

Do I take this to mean you're gonna buy a 1kzte?  I have a line on one with an automatic for about $2100 in florida.  It's not a halfcut, so I'm not sure what all is there, but what I know is there is the engine, tranny and case.  You could make it a 1kzt by running a mechanical pump, but I'm not sure what all is truly entailed in this.  When you figure it out lemme know though, I'd rather go simple if I do this too.

I believe the "E" means electronic and unless everything is there it will be a pain to figure what to do with it.

Converting it to mechanical may be expensive to impossible, would be better to find a complete setup the way you want it to start with.

Also, beware, if the line you have is in Miami, there was a seller on ebay that was advertising engines, but when I called to see about going down there to look at it they said "NO" They don't have the engines there and I bet they are getting them imported after you pay.

Just FYI

I've heard of that same deal too.  That's one good thing about jarco, they have the inventory they're selling.  You're right about the E too.  I've never got a definitive answer on if you can convert an E to a mechanical engine, but the biggest problem is trying to find a 1kzt.  They seem to be quite a bit more rare.

You didn't answer my question though  :headscratch:

What tranny are you runnin now?  It's a lot less for one with the automatic, and you obviously can make a bellhousing to fit whatever you want, so the real downside would be getting a flywheel.  I can pass along the contact info for the guy near you, maybe he actually has it in stock.  For the price it's worth a try, if it fits in your budget.  Otherwise I could put you directly in touch with mike hooper from jarco, maybe you can do some sweet talking or figure out a different path to take.
